Ryan Eliminates Opponent

Rich Ryan, who is a top notch poker blogger for PokerNews, raised to 325 from the cutoff. The small blind folded and the big blind threw out a raise to 1,150. Ryan, who we understand is of no relation to legendary baseball pitcher Nolan Ryan, took his time before making the call.

The flop came down {10-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and the big blind led out for 2,150, leaving himself 2,025 behind. Ryan grabbed a big stack of chips and deposited them in the pot for a raise. The big blind did not look happy and tanked for awhile before making the call. Ryan proudly turned over {10-Spades}{10-Hearts} for a set while the big blind sheepishly revealed {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs}.

The turn was the {J-Clubs} giving Ryan a full house and the win. After the {K-Hearts} was put out on the river, Ryan shook hands with his defeated foe and stacked his newly won chips with the grace and elegance of a champion. He is now sitting with around 15,000.
