Double Up for DW

David Williams was involved in a five-way pot when we showed up on a {k-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop. Both blinds checked, and Williams bet 400. That folded out everyone but the small blind, who paid to see the {q-Clubs} come on the turn. The small blind checked again, and Williams bet 1,200. Then his opponent check-raised the pot, and Williams called all in.

Williams: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Opponent: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades}

The {4-Diamonds} river didn't change anything, and Williams' top set stacked the player with bottom set. Williams is up to 5,500 and still has all three of his rebuy chips.

Chen 2.0

Bill Chen potted a {k-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop, and his opponent repotted. Chen called all in with {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{8-Spades}{5-Clubs} for middle set. The other player showed {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}, but his straight draw didn't get there, and Chen doubled up to 6,600. He also has all three of his rebuy chips left.

Schwartz Gets It In

Noah Schwartz raised to 125 preflop, and another player reraised to 450. Schwartz four-bet all in for 1,225 total, and his opponent looked him up.

Schwartz: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{k-Hearts}{7-Spades}
Opponent: {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts}

The board came {j-Spades}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}, and Schwartz doubled to 2,500 plus three rebuy chips.

Bakes Clubs durrrr

Tom Dwan limped under the gun, and Frank Kassela and another player followed suit from middle position. Another player raised to 175, and David "Bakes" Baker called, as did the other three limpers. The five-handed flop fell {k-Spades}{j-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. Action checked to Bakes, who bet 450. Then durrrr hit the pot button. Everyone else folded quickly, and Bakes repotted to get it in.

Dwan: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds} for middle set
Baker: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs} for the nut flush draw

The {a-Hearts} turn didn't help Bakes, but the {9-Clubs} on ther vier game him the nuts, and he doubled to 7,800. He's also got two rebuy chips left. Dwan is down to 4,000 and only one rebuy chip.

Thank Goodness For those Rebuy Chips

When we caught up with this table, the player in the cutoff had made it 200 to go and Matt Marafioti in the big blind raised it to 900. The player in the cutoff made the call and they were off to the flop.

Flop: {6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

Marafioti moved all of his remaining chips in the middle (less the three red rebuy chips) and his opponent made the call.

Marafioti: {8-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Opponent: {7-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{4-Hearts}

"You'll probably hit," Marafioti's opponent said, "The way I've been running."

The {7-Spades} fell on the turn, and the {j-Hearts} hit the river, filling Marafioti's opponent's boat.

"I'll take all my rebuy chips," Marafiotti said to the dealer.

E-dog Can't Beat a Boat

Erick Lindgren checked an {a-Spades}{5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{8-Spades} board, and his opponent checked behind. The {3-Clubs} river looked safe enough, and Lindgren bet 775. The other player made it 2,100 to see a showdown, and Lindgren paid. He would have preferred a refund when he saw his opponent's {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{2-Clubs} for top boat. E-dog is down to 2,100 and two rebuys.
