The Rich Get Richer

Matt Affleck was sitting with the button when he called the under-the-gun player's pre-flop raise to 19,000. On a flop of {10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}, that player continued for 24,000. Affleck called again.

Both men checked the {a-Spades} turn. The river paired the board, {6-Hearts}, and brought a small bet of 26,000 from the under-the-gun player. Affleck silently slid out a whole stack of orange (T5,000) chips, a raise to 100,000. That raise took down the pot.

Jetten Bullied Out of a Big One

Brandon Wong checked a {9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{5-Spades} board, and Peter Jetten bet 75,000 while the ESPN cameras watched. Wong then moved all in for another 200,000 or so, and instantly, Jetten wasn't happy. "I almost checked this flop," he lamented. "It would have been a lot cooler if I did." He folded his hand, leaving himself with 185,000. Wong showed {10-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for an open-ended straight draw. Jetten just shook his head.

Grinder Doubles with Cowboys

There was about 55,000 in the pot already when the flop came down {7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. Michael Mizrachi checked the action to Bangalore Subbarao, who bet 35,000. Mizrachi then moved all in for about 192,000 and was called. He showed {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and was up against the nut flush draw, {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}. Any2Cantu Can't Beat 22

A camera crew sprinted to catch Brandon Cantu trying to knock out Michael Maitre. Maitre was all in for around 80,000 with {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and flipping against Cantu's {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}. "One time!" Cantu shouted. "You haven't used that up yet?" Shawn Rice asked him. "I know I'm going to hit it," Cantu responded. But the flop was an unhelpful {q-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}. "Eight, eight, eight, eight," he begged, hamming it up for the cameras. Instead, the turn was the {j-Spades}, giving him a gutshot. "Eight, nine, ten, eight, nine, ten," Cantu cried while Maitre sat silently. The {k-Spades} wasn't what Cantu had requested. He doubled up the quiet Maitre. dropping to about 110,000 himself.

Skender Bender

Michael Skender raised to 20,000 and Mike Mustafa reraised to 53,000 from the button. Skender made the call and the two players saw the flop come down {J-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. Skender check-called a bet of 50,000 from Mustafa and the {K-Hearts} fell on the turn.

Skender checked to Mustafa again and he fired out 100,000. Skender called and the final community card was dealt the {A-Clubs}.

Skender moved all in to put Mustafa all in for his last 250,000 or so. He made the call.

Skender held the {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for a flopped flush and Mustafa the {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs} for a turn and rivered two pair. Skender won the pot and boomed his way to about 1.4 million in chips.
