Rivet Scoops Consecutive Pots, First to a Million

Guillaume Rivet - Over a Milli
Guillaume Rivet - Over a Milli

The action folded to Guillaume Rivet who raised from the small blind. Mack Lee defended his big blind, and the flop came down {5-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{4-Diamonds}. Both players checked. The turn was the {9-Clubs}, Rivet led, and Lee called.

The river was the {j-Diamonds}, and Rivet led once more. Lee paused momentarily before calling, prompting Rivet to show {2-Spades}{3-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{7-Hearts} for a flopped wheel. Lee tossed his hand into the muck, and the pot was pushed to Rivet.

The very next hand, Rivet raised on the button, and was called by Lee and Mikael Thuritz in the blinds. All three players got three bets in on the {10-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} flop, and after the {3-Clubs} turned, Thuritz bet once Lee checked. Rivet called, Lee mucked, and the river was the {q-Hearts}. Thuritz led, and Rivet called.

"You have aces?" Rivet asked, tabling {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}{k-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for tens full of aces. Thuritz shook his head, "no," opened {10-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for just trip tens, and mucked the losing hand.

With those two pots, Rivet has propelled back into the chip lead with over a million to his name.
