Ellwood Takes Control

Level 4 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Jack Ellwood is now the clear chip leader on his table after winning a sizeable pot against Blair Hinkle.

Hinkle had raised to 2,100 and then called Ellwood's three bet to 10,200 before both players checked the {Q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Clubs} flop. Hinkle then check-raised Ellwood's 12,000 turn bet on the {10-Hearts} to 27,000 which Ellwood wordlessly called. The {3-Spades} river saw Hinkle shutdown and check again and Ellwood bet 18,000 this time.

"Nice hand," sighed Hinkle, mucking.

Kelly Crushing

Level 4 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

We missed the hand, but Dan Kelly just knocked out another player just before the dinner break, knocking his table down to 4 players. Kelly easily has the other three stacks covered combined, and looks to be in cruise control on route to a berth in tomorrow's final day.

Cantu Can't Handle the River

Level 5 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Brandon Cantu bet a pot on all streets getting calls all the way from Bobby Suer.

On the river, the board read {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and Suer went all in. Cantu called off his last 8,100 and Suer showed {Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts} for a rivered straight. Cantu showed a {10-}, slammed the table spraying his chips everywhere, then stormed off.

Negreanu Down then Up

Level 5 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu called off 30,000 on the river of a {10-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{6-}{K-Hearts}{K-Spades} board only to be shown {K-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} for the pot. The next hand and Negreanu raised to 3,600, the button and the small blind called before the Andrew Rosskamm moved all in from the big blind. Negreanu pushed in as well and the others folded.

Negreanu: {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Rosskamm: {K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}

The board came {10-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{9-Spades} and Negreanu doubled back over the 60,000 mark, Rosskamm was crippled as a result.

Rosskamm Needs A Medic-i

Level 5 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Shortly after Daniel Negreanu doubled through Andrew Rosskamm, Rosskamm shoved all in preflop and was called by Giorgio Medici. The two players flipped their cards up, and Medici had Rosskamm dominated.

Medici: {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Rosskamm: {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

The board ran out {k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{10-Clubs}{j-Clubs}, and even though Rosskamm rivered two pair, it gave Medici a straight. Rosskamm is eliminated, and Medici is now the big chip leader three handed at his table with Daniel Negreanu and Daniel Fischer
