Negreanu Felted

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 400 ante

We missed most of the action on the hand, but we do know that Greg Raymer just eliminated Daniel Negreanu. Negreanu drew one card, and we honestly don't know whether Raymer drew or not. We'd guess not, but either way, his hand showed {j-}{10-}{5-}{4-}{2-}

Negreanu was working with {9-}{5-}{3-}{2-}, but he couldn't draw well at all, pairing his {9-} to seal his fate. He's out with less than 50 players left, but Team PokerStars Pro still has three representatives in the field. Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, David Williams, and Jason Mercier are all still in contention, and they're all seated together over there at Table 287.

Le Doubles Up Through Musso

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 400 ante

Vince Musso opened the betting by raising to 5,000. Name Le pushed his remaining stack all in for roughly 9,000 total. Musso made the call and they both drew one.

Musso: {10-}{9-}{7-}{3-}
Le: {10-}{9-}{3-}{2-}

Musso flipped over his drawn card first, tabling an {8-}. Sadly for Musso, that was behind the {6-} that Nam Le pulled and Le doubled up to about 23,000.

Mercier Takes Some Off Hellmuth

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 400 ante

Jason Mercier made it 4,000 to go from the cutoff and Phil Hellmuth made the call from the big blind. Hellmuth stood pat while Mercier took one. When Hellmuth checked, Mercier bet 11,300.

"This feels like a bluff" exclaimed Hellmuth before finally making the call. Much to Hellmuth's chagrin, Mercier tabled {9-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-}, causing Hellmuth's cards to get cast into the muck.

This brings Mercier up to 97,000 while Hellmuth drops to about 100,000.

Seiver Doesn't Give a S***

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 400 ante

"I'm gonna go ahead and go all in," Scott Seiver said. He was under the gun, and he slid his last 36,600 chips into the middle. "Not partially," he added. "All the way in. Completely in. Not partially."

Seiver is having a good time over there at the table that includes Josh Brikis, George Lind, and Chau Giang. Action folded around to Peter Gould on the button, and he took a long, hard look across the felt. He was considering, and Seiver was still chatting.

"These tournaments are super fun when you're short-stacked," he said. "Normally, I would be sweating this so hard. But I don't even give a shit."

There was plenty more words and laughter passed around between him, Brikis, and Lind, and Gould and the blinds eventually folded to let Seiver off the hook.

Ulliott Takes a Hit

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 400 ante

David "Devilfish" Ulliott opened the betting by making it 4,500 to go and was called by Parris Holmes. Both drew one card and Devilfish checked to Holmes who bet 8,000. Devilfish made the call but mucked after Holmes flipped up {9-}{6-}{4-}{3-}{2-}.

This hand boosts Holmes' stack up to 132,000 while dropping Devilfish to 12,400.

Hellmuth Moving Up

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 400 ante

Under the gun, David Williams opened to 5,000, and Jon Turner (hijack), Phil Hellmuth (button), and John Monnette all called to go four ways to the draw.

Everyone drew one card, and action checked to Jon Turner. He made a bet of 16,000, and Hellmuth made the call as the other two players ducked out.

Hellmuth turned over {8-}{7-}{6-}{3-}{2-}, and his eighty-seven was the best hand. He drags the pot, moving up to 145,000 and knocking Turner down to about 52,000.

Bright Gets Light

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 400 ante

We just watched Brandon Cantu get some value after the draw. Robert Bright checked to him, and Cantu put out a bet of 15,100. Bright spent a good while considering before resigning himself to the call.

"Nine," Cantu announced, and it was good. He turned up {9-}{7-}{6-}{4-}{3-}, and the pot moves him up among the chip leaders with about 190,000 now. Bright is now getting short with about a starting stack left.
