Shipley Finds a Double

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 0 ante

From the button, Ben Lamb opened the pot to 185,000 and Christopher King made the call from the small blind. John Shipley was in the big blind and decided to reraise to 735,000. Lamb made the call while King got out of the way.

The flop was {j-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and Shipley moved all in for his final 680,000. Lamb wasted little time in making the call and the cards were placed on their backs.

Shipley: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades}
Lamb: {7-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}

While Lamb had just a wrap draw, he amazingly also could pair three of his four hole-cards to take the lead in the hand as Shipley had just Ace-high. The {j-Diamonds} hit the turn which did not change the landscape of the hand. The river bricked Lamb again when it came the {10-Hearts} and Shipley was able to double up.

Lamb falls 3.8 million while Shipley will take a hold of the second largest stack with 3 million.
