Chris Bell Eliminated in 14th Place ($11,179)

Chris Bell
Chris Bell

Omaha 8

Chris Bell had been knocked down to just 20,000 when he was forced to fold on the river of a {10-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs}{A-Spades}{5-Diamonds} board against Greg Jamison.

Bell's remaining chips went in on the flop of {6-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{2-Spades} against Michael Mizrachi and Benjamin Lukas. Mizrachi bet all the way on the {3-Clubs} turn and {4-Clubs} river and Lukas called him down.

Mizrachi: {6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}
Lukas: {A-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}
Bell: {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

Mizrachi had the low with a live five and Lukas took the high with his rivered flush. Despite trip aces and a live eight, Bell's hand was no good either way and he was knocked out.

Stud 8

Benjamin Lukas: {5-Spades}{2-Clubs} / {4-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{K-Spades} / {10-Diamonds}
Matthew Ashton: {5-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} / {4-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{8-} / {x-}

Benjamin Lukas was all in by fifth street against against Matthew Ashton's made two pair. Lukas had quite a few outs for a chop as well as some for a scoop but bricked everything and Ashton didn't even need seventh to win the pot.

Omaha 8

In a four-way pot, it was checked to Gerard Rechnitzer who fired out on the {5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{4-Hearts} board, Scotty Nguyen folded, Abe Mosseri and Thomas Whitehair both called. On the {7-Diamonds} turn Rechnitzer fired again after two checks, Mosseri folded and Whitehair called.

The river was the {9-Diamonds} and Rechnitzer fired a third time, Whitehair folded and Rechnitzer apparently flashed {A-}{3-}{6-} for the wheel plus a seven-high straight.

Mizrachi: {x-}{x-} / {9-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} / {x-}

Matthew Ashton had raised on third and Michael Mizrachi was the only caller. Ashton bet on fourth and fifth but Mizrachi check-raised both streets before firing out himself on sixth and seen.

Mizrachi turned over {A-Spades}{6-Spades}{8-Diamonds} for a nine high straight and a 7-6-5-2-A low which scooped.
