Jimmy Fricke
Jimmy Fricke

We began Event #49: $2,500 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball (Limit) with 310 players, and we have narrowed the field down to 105 players returning today at 3:00 PM PST in search of the $189,919 for first place and of course a World Series of Poker gold bracelet.

Jimmy "Gobboboy" Fricke comes into Day 2 as our chip leader with 69,700 in chips. Close behind are Arturo Diaz (50,200), Mike Gorodinsky (49,400), and Tommy Hang (48,000). Also surviving today's field are two former Main Event Champions, Greg Ramyer (2004) and Joe Hachem (2005). Another player to watch here on Day 2 is Tom "durrrr" Dwan. Dwan has made a few deep runs this year but is still in search of his first WSOP bracelet. He was down to only 700 chips in the last last level of the day, but he's now sitting with 10,800 and looking to continue his end of day heater here on the start of Day 2.

Other notables who made it to Day 2 are Mike Matusow, Daniel Negreanu, Pat Pezzin, Gavin Smith, Robert Williamson III and many more. Among those who weren't fortunate enough to make it to join us today are Jennifer Harman, John Juanda, Eric Froehlich, Shannon Shorr, Nick Schulman, and Hoyt Corkins to name just a few.

Play kicks off here at 3:00 PM PT. Continue to follow all the 2-7 Triple Draw action here PokerNews!
