Pork Has Been Roasted

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

Another big cheer went up through the Pavillion Room and this time, it was Douglas Pork who was making his way to the exits, but not without a big smile and a bow.

As Pork recalled to us, he called from the big blind with {K-}{Q-} (suited) after a middle position raise from French player Alexandra Petitjean. The flop came down {Q-}{10-}{6-} and Pork check-shoved, but Petitjean snapped him off with {K-}{K-}.

The turn and the river bricked out and with Pork now out of the picture, Petitjean is now up to 9,800 in chips. She'll be one to watch out for, as she's already racked up more than $50,000 in tournament earnings, including a runner-up finish at the Partouche Poker Tour Deep Stack event in Lyon, good for almost €33,000.

It should also be noted that the unofficial count of male players in this event was 12. As it stands, about half of those players remain.

Da-svi-da-niya, Nadya

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

We're not sure how it happened, but Nadya Magnus has been eliminated from the tournament. Many may recognize Magnus as the woman who appeared on The Big Game as a "Loose Cannon." Unfortunately for her, she won't be adding the 2011 Ladies Championship to her résumé.

Harwood Gets Some Chips

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

We came to Elissa Harwood's table to see that her and two other players were in a hand on the turn with the board reading {3-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}. The small blind bet 400, and Harwood called, along with the other player as well. The river came the {a-Spades}, and the small blind checked as did Harwood. Their opponent bet out 400, and both players called. The better showed {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}, which beat the small blind, but not Harwood, who had {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}. She scooped the pot, and boosted her stack to 4,700.

Coren's Stack Clipped

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

An early-position player limped and Victoria Coren raised to 250 from middle position. Everyone folded back around to the limper, who flatted.

Both players checked the {Q-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop. However, when a {9-Spades} fell on the turn, Coren's opponent led out for 600. Coren thought for a bit but landed on a call. Both players went back to checking on the {7-Diamonds} river.

Coren's opponent revealed {J-Hearts}{Q-Spades} for a pair of queens and Coren mucked. She is currently sitting with 3,300.

Kim Grinding

Wooka Kim
Wooka Kim

The action folded around to Wooka Kim who min-raised to 200 from the button in the small blind; her opponent in the big blind called, then Kim fired out 200 again after the flop of {2-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{3-Spades}.

The big blind raised to 500, but Kim quickly shoved for 1,575. After some time, the big blind folded and Kim picked up the pot.

Maria M.I.A

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

Maria Ho's stack has been left by itself and has been blinding down since the last break. We checked her twitter, and for the first time in her career she is attempting to live double table, as she is still in Day 2 of the Mixed Hold'em. We will be sure to post when Ho is back in her seat over here in the Pavilion room.

Lizette Gets Aggressive

Over on Kirsty Chick's table, we caught some action between Marie Lizette and an opponent heads-up to a flop that read {3-Spades}{5-Spades}{10-Spades}; Lizette checked to the opponent who bet out from the hijack, but Lizette insta-check-shoved for more than 2,000.

After about two minutes in the tank, her opponent folded and Lizette flashed the {K-Spades} before raking in the chips. "Not much more than the starting stack, hun!" she said.
