Ahmed Survives

Owais Ahmed was nearly all in during this hand with Perry Friedman.

Ahmed: (x-x) / {6-Clubs} {5-Clubs} {4-Clubs} {8-Hearts} / (x)
Friedman: (x-x) / {K-Spades} {A-Hearts} {3-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds} / (x)

Friedman called a bet on sixth as we walked up, then checked dark to seventh. Ahmed's last bet nearly put him all in, and Friedman quickly, but reluctantly, called.

Ahmed showed {A-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} {J-Clubs} / {6-Clubs} {5-Clubs} {4-Clubs} {8-Hearts}, and his six clubs are plenty good enough to take the pot. Just like that, he's back up to about 24,000.

Bach Busted

David Bach on Day 1.
David Bach on Day 1.

A short-stacked David Bach brought it in for the full 1,000 and received a call from the player in Seat 6. The latter turned around and led out on the turn, prompting Bach to call off his remaining 6,000.

Bach: {A-Clubs}{2-Hearts} / {4-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} / {10-Hearts}
Seat 6: {K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} / {J-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} / {9-Clubs}

Bach was in big trouble after his opponent paired aces on fifth, which would ultimately lead to his demise.

Sigel Pillages Pescatori

Michael Sigel completed with the {9-Spades}, then called a raise from Max Pescatori and his {8-Clubs}.

Sigel: (x-x) / {9-Spades} {10-Clubs} {6-Spades} {2-Hearts} / (x)
Pescatori: (x-x) / {8-Clubs} {8-Hearts} {9-Hearts} {2-Spades} / (x)

Pescatori was the one doing the betting through sixth street, but he check-called a Sigel bet on seventh.

Sigel showed {A-Clubs} {A-Hearts} {10-Hearts} / {9-Spades} {10-Clubs} {6-Spades} {2-Hearts}, and aces up earned him the pot.
