Van Der Fluit Sliding

Once among the chip leaders, Vincent Van Der Fluit has been on a downward spiral as of late.

In a recent hand, Van Der Fluit (with a diminished stack of just 57,000) min-raised from early position to 4,000. Action folded all the way around to the player in the big blind, who re-raised to 10,000. Van Der Fluit opted to wait for a better spot and quickly mucked his hand.

Rosen Busts

Joseph Marchal open-limped in the pot action folded around to Jamie Rosen in the cutoff. Rose potted to 9,000 and had just 3,000 behind. The blinds released and Marchal called.

Marchal: {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} {2-Clubs}
Rosen: {9-Spades} {8-Diamonds} {7-Spades} {6-Clubs}

The board ran {5-Hearts} {3-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {A-Spades} {Q-Spades} and Rosen hit the rail.

Rosen joined Tony Cousineau in the payout line, we did not catch the action for Cousineau's elimination.

Tonne Takes One Down

We caught up with the action on a board reading {A-Spades}{9-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{7-Hearts}. The player in small blind bet 9,000 into Charles Tonnes in the big. Tonnes raised to 25,000 and his opponent called.

Both players checked the {10-Spades} river and Tonnes turned up {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} for a set of nine. His opponent mucked and Tonnes was shipped the pot.

Tonnes is sitting on 160,000.
