Corson Collects Chips

Jeff Madsen started out a recent hand by making it 14,000 preflop. Michael Corson thought that was too cheap and raised to 33,000. Adam Kagin on the button opted to call.

A {A-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} flop was spread out and action was on Corson who tapped the felt for a check. Kagin bet out 40,000 and Corson made the call.

A {6-Spades} on the turn brought two checks, but a {k-Clubs} on the river allowed for Corson to bet out 64,000. A bet Kagin did not want to see. After a few moments Kagin folded and Corson was awarded the pot.

Dylan Horton Eliminated in 10th Place ($17,544)

Dylan Horton is the final table bubble boy
Dylan Horton is the final table bubble boy

Our official final table has been set with the elimination of Dylan Horton.

He opened to 16,000 from mid position before Layne Flack three-bet to 49,000 from the next seat. Horton responded by moving all-in for a little more than 300,000, and Flack called after giving it some consideration.

Horton: {j-Spades}{10-Spades}
Flack: {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}

The board ran {4-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{8-Clubs} to give Flack a set and a commanding lead moving forward.

There will be a short break before we start the official final table

First Blood to Schaefer

Brandon Schaefer has strengthened his position in second place after winning a pot that went all the way to the river.

He opened to 18,000 from under the gun and was called by Layne Flack in mid position and Jeff Madsen in the big blind.

The flop fell {5-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Madsen was the only caller after Schaefer continued for 35,000. The turn was the {7-Diamonds} and Madsen decided to lead for 50,000. Call.

The river came {2-Clubs} and Madsen check-folded to a 90,000 bet.

Schwartz Taking Control

Justin Schwartz has come out raising in the past couple of hands, and this hand was no different with Schwartz opening for 17,000 from early position. Action folded around to Adam Kagin in the big blind who obliged and made the call.

On a {3-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} Kagin checked and Schwartz continued his aggresive ways with a bet of 21,000. Kagin then threw out two green chips for a raise and made it 50,000. Schwartz quickly moved all in which lead to a Kagin Fold.

Position Pays for Cohen

Jon Cohen used position to his advantage to take Brandon Steven off a hand.

Madsen opened the pot with a 17,000 raise from under the gun. Cohen called from the cut-off before Steven three-bet to 39,000 from the small blind. Madsen tank-folded but Cohen called.

The flop fell {3-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and Cohen called a 37,000 c-bet from Steven. The turn came {4-Spades} and Steven had had enough as he check-folded to a 77,000 bet.

Brandon vs. Brandon

Level 2 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Brandon Stevens opened a recent hand to 17,000 from the cut off. Big blind Brandon Schaefer was the only one willing to pay for a flop and placed the call.

A {6-Spades}{3-Spades}{9-Spades} flop fell, and both players checked. A {9-Diamonds} on the river saw the action repeat with each player tapping the felt for a check once again. On the river, Stevens decided to stray from the norm and bet out 22,000 after Schaefer checked. A few moments went by, and Schaefer made the call.

Stevens quickly mucked his cards, and Schaefer showed the table {A-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for the win.
