During the break we happened upon a big stack in the room of 20,250, which belongs to Amir Nematinia. Rest assured we'll be keeping an eye on it as the night wears on.
During the dinner break we couldn't help but notice an interesting tweet by George Lind:
GeorgeLindIII George Lind IIIMy last dealer has more wsop bracelets than the rest of the table combined minus ted forrest. 10K @ dinner #wsop18June 08 2012
Lind is referencing Nani Dollison, who has three gold bracelets for victories in the 2000 $1,000 Ladies Limit Hold’em & 7 Card Stud ($53,200); 2001 $2,000 Limit Hold’em ($441,440); and 2001 $1,000 Ladies Limit Hold’em & 7 Card Stud ($41,130). In the open-event win, Dollison actually defeated a final table that included Eli Elezra (6th-$41,760), Hung La (4th-$71,585) and Chau Giang (3rd-$113,345).
All told Dollison has eight WSOP cashes totaling $600,515.
tchanpoker Terrence ChanOut of razz, cementing my reputation as a big-bet player who spews in limit tournaments. #wsop17June 08 2012
tchanpoker Terrence ChanToday was the first day of the WSOP where I busted an event and did not cash in at least one tournament. I've spent a lot of hours here.June 08 2012
The number are in. 2012 World Series of Poker Event 18: $2,500 Seven Card Razz has attracted 309 runners and created a prize pool of $702,975. That will be distributed to the top 32 players with the eventual winner taking home a top prize of $182,793.
A short-stacked Dutch Boyd got himself all in on third and needed to survive against three players. One of those players dropped out on the turn in reaction to a side pot developing between Perry Friedman and an unknown player in Seat 4. Those two ended up raising one another on various streets before Seat 4 ended up all in on sixth.

Friedman's seven low ended up being the best hand and he sent both Boyd and Seat 4 to the rail.

Jeff Lisandro, who won this event in 2009, has joined the field. We recently spotted him over on Table 359. That makes him, Frank Kassela and Barry Greenstein shouldering the former-champion duties.
When it comes to the poker media, nary a member has not heard the name Mickey Doft. Doft, who is known to some as either “Mojito Mickey” or “mrdoft,” has been coming to the World Series of Poker for years, not to play, but to report. That’s right, Doft is a tournament reporter extraordinaire. What’s more, he is also quite the Razz aficionado.
A padawan to the knowledgeable Jason Sackler, who is also in today’s field, Doft has been testing his Razz skills in this very event for years against the likes of Barry Greenstein, Jen Harman and Berry Johnston.
While a WSOP cash has eluded Doft thus far, he is primed and focused to make it a reality. Today he is seated at Table 366 today alongside the voluptuous Lacey Jones and lyricist supreme Brett Richey, though his attentions are focused on nothing else but sending them to the rail.
For those who wish to learn a little more about “Mojito Mickey,” let us tell you his tale. Born on June 10, 1985, young Doft grew up in Aventura, Florida, a place he still calls home. After graduating from Hillel Community Day School in North Miami Beach, Florida, Doft packed up shop and headed north to attend Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. Years later, in 2007 to be exact, Doft graduated after studying history and business. Then, in April of 2008, Doft became a part of PokerNews and has been live reporting for that outlet ever since.
Aside from poker, Doft enjoys watching hockey highlights, chocolate milk, rollerblading in the neighborhood, and enjoying some ice cream on a hot Florida night.
