Shawn Buchanan raised, Randy Ohel called, and both players drew two on the first draw. Buchanan bet out, and Ohel called. On the second draw, Buchanan discarded one, and Ohel two. Buchanan led again, and Ohel called.

On the final draw, Buchanan stood pat, and Ohel drew one. Buchanan check-called a bet, and Ohel tabled {7-} {6-} {5-} {3-} {2-} .

Buchanan mucked, and Ohel raked in the pot.

Bonyadi Gives Those Chips to Ohel

Farzad Bonyadi didn't hold on to those new-found chips too long.

He was on the button and called a two-bet from Randy Ohel. David Baker also called from the small blind and all three went on to draw two cards.

Ohel continued for 8,000 and called when raised by Bonyadi. Baker folded and Ohel drew one and Bonyadi stood pat. Ohel check-called a bet and then drew one as Bonyadi stood pat.

Ohel found what he was after with the last draw and led out for 16,000. Bonyadi called and then mucked upon seeing his opponent's {8-} {6-} {5-} {4-} {2-} .

Buchanan Wins Two

The action folded to Jason Lavallee who raised on the button. Shawn Buchanan made it two bets from the small blind, Lavallee three-bet from the big, and Buchanan moved all in.

"I didn't misread my hand this time," Lavallee said, calling.

Both players drew one card on every street, and going into the third draw, Buchanan fanned {7-} {6-} {3-} {2-} . Lavallee showed {8-} {5-} {3-} {2-} . Buchanan turned over a {j-} , giving him a jack-seven low, and Lavallee turned over a {k-} , giving him a king-eight low.

Buchanan doubled to nearly 80,000 chips, while Lavallee was left with under 80,000.

On the very next hand, Buchanan raised with the button. Randy Ohel called out of the small blind, then drew two. Buchanan drew one, and bet when Ohel checked. Ohel called.

On the second draw, Ohel discarded two cards, then check-folded to a bet from Buchanan, who stood pat.

Three Hands With Shawn Buchanan

Greg Mueller came in to rail on a break from his tournament and was saying most of the updates are about Shawn Buchanan and David Baker. Those two just can't stay out of pots! Buchanan was in the last three we witnessed.

Buchanan lost a pot when his was no good against Benjamin Lazer's . He dropped to 115,000 after that loss.
The very next hand he was back up to 150,000 when his eighty-seven smooth beat David Baker's mucked hand.
The next hand he was back down to 85,000 after his was bettered by David Baker's .

Ohel Takes Lead

Farzad Bonyadi was first to act, and he raised. David Baker called on his direct left, Randy Ohel called in the small blind, and Benjamin Lazer defended his big blind. All four players threw away two cards, and the action checked to Bonyadi who bet. Baker raised, Ohel re-raised, Lazer released, and Bonyadi put in a fourth bet. Both Baker and Ohel called.

On the second draw, both Ohel and Bonyadi stood pat, while Baker drew one. Ohel checked, Bonyadi bet, and both players called.

On the final draw, Ohel and Bonyadi stood pat again, and Baker discarded one card. All three players checked.

On the second draw, both players drew one card. Lavallee led out, and Buchanan called. Lavallee stood pat on the final draw, and Buchanan drew one. Both players checked.

Lavallee fanned {9-} {7-} {5-} {4-} {2-} , and Buchanan mucked.

A few hands later, Benjamin Lazer opened and Buchanan called out of the big blind. On the first draw, Buchanan tossed away three cards, grinning, and Lazer drew only one. Buchanan check-called a bet. On the second draw, Buchanan drew one, and Lazer stood pat. Buchanan check-raised all in for less than two bets, and Lazer called.

Buchanan drew one. "Am I drawing dead?" he asked Lazer.

Buchanan showed {8-} {5-} {3-} {2-} , and Lazer {8-} {6-} {5-} {4-} {2-} , so he wasn't drawing dead - just very slim.

His final card was a deuce, pairing him, and Buchanan was eliminated.

Ohel Crushing, Lavallee in Trouble

Make no mistake at all, Randy Ohel is crushing it right now. He has 720,000 out of the 1.7 million or so in play.

He won a three-bet three-way pot versus Farzad Bonyadi and David Baker. Both players folded on the third betting round.

He and and Jason Lavalle battled in the blinds, went all the way, and both showed down a nine. Ohel's {9-} {8-} {5-} {7-} {3-} was the better hand and he raked in the pot.
