Hays Stays

Eddie Blumenthal made it 64,000 from the button and Foster Hays moved all in from the small blind for 605,000. Artem Metalidi folded the big blind and Blumenthal made the call.

Blumenthal: {A-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Hays: {Q-Clubs}{j-Spades}

Blumenthal had his opponent dominated, but as we will see anything can happen. The board came {Q-Spades}{9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} and Hays was awarded the double up as his two pair queens and jacks were best.

Hays' Hindrance

After a series of hands where players would just steal the blinds we actually had two players get heads up in a pot. Foster Hays raised to 65,000 from under the gun and got a caller in Eddie Blumenthal in the big blind.

The board came {7-Spades}{5-Spades}{j-Hearts} and Blumenthal checked. Hays then fired out 90,000 and after a few moments of silence Blumenthal announced "all in". Hays folded and Blumenthal raked in the pot. Hindrance

Artem Metalidi

Artem Metalidi opened from under the gun to 80,000 and found a caller in Simon Charette on the button, and Eddie Blumenthal in the big blind.

The board came {7-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{10-Clubs} and Blumenthal checked his option. Metaladi fired out 210,000, and Charette made the call. Blumenthal decided that was too rich for him and threw his hand away.

A {9-Hearts} on the turn saw Metalidi bet out 210,000, and again Charette completed the call. The {6-Spades} on the river brought even more action, with Metalidi pushing forward a stack of 425,000. After a few moments Charette convinced himself he was good and he made the call. Mitalidi flipped over {j-Clubs}{8-Spades} for a straight. and Charette mucked his hole cards.

Blumenthal Comes Over the Top

Eddie Blumenthal opened to 85,000 and was three-bet to 180,000 by Simon Charette from the big blind. Blumenthal decided to flat and it was heads-up going to the flop.

The flop came {K-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and Charette led out for 200,000 even. Blumenthal thought it over and announced he was all-in. Charette quickly mucked.

Charette has been slipping and is now down to 1,800,000. Blumenthal is sitting on 1,400,000.
