Monsieurs Benyamine and Grospellier

The French are well presented this year at the World Series of Poker (WSOP). Yesterday Manuel Bevand came extremely close to securing a bracelet in the $10,000 Pot-Limit Hold'em event finishing in 5th place and he is here today, and two more French players cashed in that event and are also in the field. David Benyamine finished in 16th place for $23,876. Benyamine has sixteen WSOP cashes to his name and 1 WSOP bracelet. Here he is getting involved in a pot with the super-human computer-brained Randy Lew.

Benyamine raised to 200 under the gun, Randy Lew three-bet to 675 from the hijack and Benyamine made the call. The action checked through to the turn on a board of {J-Spades} {6-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} and Lew took down the pot with a 700 bet. Benyamine has 12,700 and Lew has 8,550.

Bertrand "ElkY Grospellier also has excellent WSOP form. He cashed in 18th place in the $10,000 Pot-Limit Hold'em event to take his total number of WSOP cashes up to 17 including 1 WSOP bracelet. He is not fairing too well in this tournament though. We just saw him paying off a river bet of 650 on a board of {Q-Clubs} {7-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} {6-Spades} {7-Spades} versus an opponent holding {Q-Hearts} {8-Hearts}. ElkY is down to 2,200.
