Robert Stevanovski Eliminated in 14th Place ($16,544)

Robert Stevanovski
Robert Stevanovski

After chopping for his tournament life against Joe Cassidy we just saw Robert Stevanovski lose his final all in against Dan Kelly. Kelly raised from the small blind to 24,000 and Stevanovski three-bet from the big blind after which Kelly put him all in for 41,000 chips total. We got to see another all in showdown and again Stevanovski was in good shape to get at least half the pot.

Kelly turned over {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{4-Spades} against {A-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades}{4-Hearts} and the board ran out {9-Hearts}{K-Spades}{8-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. No low for Stevanovski and Kelly's pair of queens took down the entire pot. We are down to just 13 players and some short handed poker!

Dan Kelly (12th) and Mike Wattel (11th) Eliminated ($21,020)

Dan Kelly
Dan Kelly

Mike Wattel and Dan Kelly were both very short and just got all their chips into the middle against Joe Cassidy. Wattel started off by raising to 24,000 under the gun and Kelly, who was to his direct left, made it 36,000 right away. Cassidy was on the button and put in a four-bet making it 48,000 to go.

Both blinds folded and Wattel moved all in for 56,000 after which Kelly called all in for a total of 52,000.

Joe Cassidy{A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{5-Clubs}
Mike Wattel{A-Spades}{Q-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{6-Spades}
Dan Kelly{A-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{7-Hearts}

The board ran out {K-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades}, and with just a pair of kings Cassidy made sure we got down to just ten players.

"Everything okay Joe," Phil Ivey sarcastically asked Cassidy who was stacking his chips after this double knock out.

Ivey reenacted how Cassidy casually put in the extra chips to call both all ins and Cassidy said, "Is that how I did it?"

"Pretty much," Ivey said laughing as all players got handed racks. We are moving to the final table!

Krause turned over {A-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{J-Spades} and was up against {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{K-Spades}{3-Diamonds}. The river was the {3-Spades} and that was it for Krause. We are now down to just nine players.

Ryan Lenaghan Eliminated in 9th Place ($26,940)

Ryan Lenaghan
Ryan Lenaghan

We just lost the first player at the final table as Ryan Lenaghan couldn't win his first all in at this table. Lenaghan started off the action by raising from middle position and both Gregory Jamison, in the hijack, and Phil Ivey, in the big blind, called.

The flop came down {A-Spades}{J-Clubs}{7-Spades} and Ivey checked. Lenaghan put out his final 12,000 chips after which Jamison gave him some protection by raising it up to 27,000. Ivey folded and we got to see a heads up showdown.

Gregory Jamison{A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Ryan Lenaghan{A-Hearts}{J-Spades}{9-Hearts}{2-Clubs}

The turn was the {Q-Hearts} and the river the {5-Clubs} giving Jamison the pot with a broadway straight. Lenaghan said goodbye to his chips and left the final table area. He will walk home with $26,940 while we play on with just eight players.

Mike Matusow Eliminated in 8th Place ($34,748)

Mike Matusow
Mike Matusow

We just said goodbye to Mike Matusow who got knocked out in seventh place. The action started with Matusow who raised all in for his final 15,000 chips from the under the gun +1 position. Meng La raised it up from the hijack and both Phil Ivey and Scotty Nguyen called from the blinds.

The flop came down {K-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Ivey checked to Nguyen who put out a bet. Both La and Ivey called giving us three-way side pot action on the turn.

The turn was the {3-Spades} and now it was Ivey who lead out for 40,000. Nguyen put in a raise to 80,000 and Lad threw his hand into the muck. At this point Ivey put in the third bet making it 120,000 to go. Nguyen called.

The river was the {4-Spades} and Nguyen called another one of Ivey's bets. The agressor showed {A-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts} for the nut low while Nguyen turned over {8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} for the high. Matusow turned over his {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{6-Spades} and that was no good to get hold of any part of the pot. That's it for Matusow and we are down to seven players.

From the button Phil Ivey raised it up to 40,000 and Bart Hansen called all in from the big blind. This gave us a back to back all in showdown, and this time Bart Hanson was at risk.

Hanson turned over {K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and was up against Ivey's {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{8-Spades} giving Ivey a pair of kings for the high and a 23567 low. No luck for Hanson who is our seventh place finisher. We have just seen two hands after the break and already lost our two short stacks.

From the under the gun position Joe Cassidy just raised it up and Gregory Jamison three-bet from the big blind. Cassidy called and the flop came down {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Spades}. Jamison decided to check-call and the turn was the {8-Spades}. Once again Jamison check-called and the river was the {K-Spades}.

Jamison had just 8,000 chips left behind and he put them all in. Cassidy called and showed {A-Spades}{7-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades} and scooped the pot. Jamison showed his {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{X-} before he left the tournament area as we are down to four players.
