Three days weren't enough to settle the score in this Event #27: $1,500 H.O.R.S.E.

On Wednesday afternoon, 889 players took their seats for Day 1, and the field was whittled down under 200 by the end of the day. Things progressed fairly quickly on down to 18 the next day, but it's been quite a stalemate since then.

When the clock ran out on Day 3 early this morning, David Chiu, Ylon Schwartz, and Stephen Chidwick were still locked in a marathon three-handed session. Each of the three men has held the chip lead at one point or another, and each of them has been nearly felted a few times along the way, too. The games have been played at an impressively high level despite the shortening stacks in relation to the betting limits.

The three are still alive and in contention for the bracelet as 30 levels have produced no champion.

Today is the day to fix that. The finalists are set to return this afternoon at 1:00 PM, and the 12-hour recess should allow them to bring their "A" games to the table today. They'll be back in the same seats they occupied this morning, taking center stage in the Pavilion for the conclusion of this long-suffering event.

We don't expect it'll take too long to play it out today, so don't stray too far. While you have a few minutes, head over to our Poker Rules page and brush up on the rules of our five games: Limit Hold'em, Omaha Hi/Lo, Razz, Stud, and Stud Hi/Lo.

We're less than an hour away from the start of play, and the bracelet awaits on of these three!
