Porter Doing Work

That Rep Porter knows all the games is a well known fact. His results in all variations of poker show that he's always someone to look out for, and today he's at it again.

Earlier this series the double bracelet winner finished 14th in the $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. and sixth in he $1,500 No Limit 2-7 Single Draw. He's looking to make another run in this event, as he just won a nice little pot off Marco Traniello.

Pot Limit Omaha

We caught the action on the flop reading {7-Spades} {5-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} . Both blinds checked, Porter checked in middle position and Traniello checked as well from the cutoff. Stephen Chidwick was on the button and he bet 2,200. Both blinds folded, both Porter and Traniello called.

The turn was the {8-Spades} and all three players checked.

On the river the {8-Clubs} showed up and Porter checked once more. Traniello grabbed chips and fired out 4,000 after which Chidwick folded. Porter took four orange 1,000 chips and put in the call.

Traniello showed {J-} {10-} {9-} {4-} for a missed straight draw, and his bluff had failed against Porter's {10-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {3-Hearts} . Porter raked in the pot and is now up to 35,000 chips.

Triple Up For Richey

We just saw Brett Richey wondering around in between the tables, and happened to hear about a triple up.

"I got it in before the last draw in deuce with {2-} {3-} {4-} {5-} against a {9-} {7-} ," Richey said about the hand that kept him alive.

Richey tripled up through Jerrod Ankenman, the winner of this event back in 2009, and is now back up to 13,000 chips.

Massive Cooler Sends Kenney Packing

He was quietly enjoying a massage, playing some poker and raking in chips. But that just abruptly ended after getting coolered in a massive Limit Hold'em hand against Chris McClung. Bryn Kenney was looking to be a contender, but his run just ended before the break.

We caught the action on the flop in a four way hand. The flop read {A-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} {10-Hearts} and both blinds checked after which a player in middle position bet 1,200. Bryn Kenney was to his direct left in the hijack, and he raised to 2,400. Chris McClung was in the small blind and he put in three bets making it 3,600. The big blind folded and both the initial better and Kenney called.

The turn was the {A-Diamonds} and McClung bet 2,400, the player in the middle called. Kenney put out two big stacks of grey 100 chips making it 4,800 and both his opponents called.

The river was the {9-Spades} and it got checked to Kenney who fired out another 2,400 chip bet. McClung called right away after which the third player tanked for a while before also making the call.

"I got a full," Kenney said as he turned over his {10-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} . He seemed confident but, that feeling quickly passed when McClung showed him {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} . The third player mucked right away and Kenney was left with just 225 chips.

On the very next hand he got his last chips in and both blinds stayed in. On a {6-Spades} {2-Spades} {9-Hearts} flop the small blind lead out and got it heads up. Kenney showed {3-Clubs} {7-Spades} and was in bad shape against {K-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} . The turn was the {K-Diamonds} ending Kenney's tournament run. The river was the meaningless {7-Diamonds} as Kenney paid for his massage and left the tournament area. McClung is now one of the big stacks in this event.

Moorman, Give Us a Wave

Pot Limit Omaha:

Noah Schwartz raised to 1,500 under the gun and received a call from Chris Moorman, who used all green T25 chips, in the hijack. When the flop fell {5-Clubs} {6-Hearts} {6-Diamonds} , Schwartz checked and Moorman casually put out a bet of 2,000. Schwartz responded by check-raising to 5,100, and Moorman thought for about two minutes before sliding his stack of 15,650 into the pot.

Schwartz shot back in his chair and said, "How much? I got the whole Moorman acting and everything." As the dealer verified Moorman's stack, Schwartz added, "I'm 94.7% calling." Sure enough, that's what he did.

Schwartz was way ahead with trip sixes and never faltered as the {2-Hearts} and {5-Hearts} appeared on the turn and river respectively. With that, Moorman got the boot.
