Israelashvili Doubles Through Bloch

Limit Hold'em

From the cutoff Andy Bloch raised and Roland Israelashvili defended his big blind.

The flop came down {9-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Israelashvili checked to Bloch who bet. Israelashvili opted to raise all in for 133,000, and Bloch made the call.

Roland Israelashvili{A-Clubs}{J-Spades}
Andy Bloch{K-Spades}{2-Spades}

The turn was the {J-Clubs} and the river the {K-Hearts} giving Israelashvili a much needed double up. He is still the short stack at the table.

Wheel For Klodnicki

Stud-8

Making a wheel in Stud-8 is one of the best things you can do, and Chris Klodnicki just caught one, beating Michael Mizrachi in a serious pot.

Michael Mizrachi{x-}{x-} / {K-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} / {x-}
Chris Klodnicki{x-}{x-} / {A-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{2-Clubs} / {x-}

The {8-Hearts} had the bring-in, and Mizrachi just called. Klodnicki raised it up and Mizrachi was his only opponent on fourth street. Klodnicki fired again and Mizrachi called.

On fifth street Klodnicki check-called a bet, but on sixth he took the lead again. Klodnicki bet both sixth and seventh, and Mizrachi called him down.

Klodnicki turned over {3-Hearts}{5-Spades}{7-Clubs} for a wheel, and he scooped this pot. He is now back in second place but still far behind our runaway chip leader.

Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi brought in and Chris Klodnicki completed. Mizrachi called and then Klodnicki led with bets on fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh. Mizrachi called on all streets.

Klodnicki showed the {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades} for a club flush and a seven-five low. Mizrachi mucked and Klodnicki scooped the pot.

2-7 Triple Draw

From the cutoff Roland Israelashvili raised all in for just 111,000 and both Andy Bloch and Michael Mizrachi called from the blinds.

Bloch wanted two cards, Mizrachi three and Israelashvili took two. Bloch and Mizrachi opted to check.

On the second draw both blinds took two cards again, while Israelashvili only needed one. Again the action was checked.

On the final draw both blinds took one card and Israelashvili, who was at risk, stood pat. Again the action was checked.

Israelashvili turned over {J-}{8-}{6-}{4-}{2-}, but that was no good against Bloch's {8-}{7-}{5-}{3-}{2-}. Israelashvili shook everyones hand and left the tournament area as we are now down to just four players! This fifth place finish marks Israelashvili biggest career cash.

Schwartz Doubles

Luke Schwartz
Luke Schwartz

No-Limit Hold'em

From the button, Chris Klodnicki raised to 70,000. Luke Schwartz moved all in for 283,000 from the small blind and Klodnicki called.

Schwartz showed the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} and was up against the {7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for Schwartz. While he was all in, Schwartz jumped up and went on the other side of the dealer, putting one arm around the dealer and asking him to keep it clean.

The flop, turn and river came {J-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} and Schwartz doubled to over 500,000. Klodnicki dropped back to 4.2 million in chips.

Luke Schwartz Eliminated in 4th Place ($406,736)

No-Limit Hold'em

Action moved to Chris Klodnicki in the small blind and he raised with a bunch of brown T25,000 chips to put the pressure on Luke Schwartz in the big blind. Schwartz went all in for a little bit more and Klodnicki called.

Schwartz showed the {A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and was dominating the {A-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} for Klodnicki. Schwartz popped out of his chair again and hugged the dealer with one arm. He also kissed the dealer on the top of his head and pleaded for a board in his favor.

The flop came down {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} and Schwartz stayed in front, although there was now a very good chance this pot was going to be chopped.

The turn brought the {5-Diamonds} and now Schwartz pleaded, "Just put a card lower than a five! Anything but a six!"

The river was exactly what Schwartz didn't want to see as the {6-Clubs} landed on the river. Schwartz's hands were flung up in the air as he knew the worst had happened and he was eliminated.

For his finish, Schwartz took home just over $400,000 in prize money, leaving three players left for the title.
