Eli Elezra came back from the break with a small stack, and didn't manage to hang around.
We caught the action on the second draw when Elezra needed one new card. His opponent, David Stroj, stood pat and turned over for a very strong Badugi hand. Elezra tabled and was still drawing live, but he caught the which didn't help, but did improve his hand.
With only 475 remaining chips Elezra moved all in on the very next hand and both Stroj and the player in the big blind, Eric Brix, called.
Both Elezra and Stroj took two cards while Brix stood pat. Stroj check-folded to a bet and Elezra took another card. Brix stood pat again.
Brix turned over , and Elezra was drawing live again with . Elezra paired his deuce and was eliminated.
Dan O'Brien just called over yours truly and complained about how he lost a couple of 'brutal pots' in Lowball. The table which O'Brien is sitting at is tough and fun, and his stack is still big enough for him not to worry about busting out soon. The only player that has him covered is Brett Richey.
Pot-Limit Omaha
O'Brien raised it up to 1,000 and Richey called from the small blind after which Nicolas Adamakis defended his big blind.
"I won a big pot with this hand in the $3k," Richey said as the flop came down . He lead out for 1,500 and Adamakis raised it up to 4,000.
"You see what they're doing to me here?" O'Brien sighed sarcastically as he quickly released his hand. Richey did the same and Adamakis took down this pot.
Here's a quick overlook at the stack sizes at this stacked table.
When we reached the table, Mike Matusow was all in against an opponent with the board reading . Matusow's was trailing his opponent's , but the spiked on the river, doubling The Mouth to 16,000 chips.
Matusow clapped and gave a small fist pump before raking in the pot.
When we reached Table 401, Mikhail Semin was all in and at risk against Robert Williamson III. The hands were exposed, and they looked like this:
Williamson III:
Semin:
The flop gave Williamson trip eights, and the lead, but the spiked on the turn giving Semin a straight. A meaningless completed the board, and Semin doubled to 16,000 chips.
Williamson III was left with just 7,000 chips, and busted soon after.
Ari Engel was in the cutoff and he raised it up to 1,350. Vincent van der Fluit made the call from the button and both blinds folded.
The flop came down and Engel checked to Van der Fluit who bet 2,600. Engel tanked for a bit and called.
The turn was the and Engel checked again. Van der Fluit paused, and eventually put out a 6,250 chip bet. Engel took his time again, but he wasn't folding.
On the river the hit, and Engel checked once more. Van der Fluit took about 30 seconds to make up his mind, before betting 13,725. Engel would be left with 20,000 chips in case he was wrong, and minutes went by before me made up his mind.
Multiple times Engel had the dealer confirm the size of the bet, and he smiled as he clearly wasn't sure what to do with his hand. Eventually he made the call and Van der Fluit turned over . Engel mucked immediately and Van der Fluit is now up to around 120,000 chips.
Vanessa Selbst completed with a , Chad Brown raised with a , and Selbst called. Selbst led out on fourth street, Brown called, and Selbst slowed down on fifth, check-calling a bet. Selbst check-called another bet on sixth, and both players checked on seventh.
"Ten," Selbst announced.
"Ten-six," Brown responded, tabling .
Selbst threw her hands up and showed her down cards, but we only caught the . She then turned to her rail and shouted to her girlfriend, "Don't worry, I'll be done soon."
She chuckled. "What kind of awful girlfriend do you think I am?" she responded.
Selbst is down to 13,000 chips, while Brown is up over 50,000.
