Schneider Reduced to Ashe-s

We caught up with the action on a flop of {A-Spades}{4-Clubs}{8-Spades} board to see 2007 World Series of Poker Player of the Year Tom Schneider move all in only to be called by Randy Ashe. Schneider looked excited at the prospect of a call and triumphantly tabled {A-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} for a flopped two pair.

Ashe showed {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} and was behind and in need of help. The deck obliged to help Ashe immediately and the {Q-Spades} struck the turn, sending a shockwave of disappointment over the face of Schneider. The river was the {9-Clubs} and just like that Schneider was down to a mere 12,000 while Ashe's stack soared to 510,000.

A Second Spear Through Iles

Not too long ago Jordan Spear was able to score a key double up through Matt Isles. Spear recently delivered the killing blow.

Three players saw a flop of {Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and Iles checked. Marcio Cid checked to Jordan Spear and Spear shot out 60,000. Iles replied by instantly moving all in. Cid mucked his hand and Spear thought for about fifteen seconds before calling with {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} and was ahead of Iles' {Q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}.

The board finished with the {2-Diamonds} and the {J-Clubs} and Iles was forced to ship most of his stack to Spear. Iles was left with merely 15,000 in chips and was eliminated the next hand.

Kiss From a Rose

Action folded around to Mark Rose on the button who moved all in for his last 36,000. Hai Chu called from the small blind and the big blind called as well.

The blinds checked down on all streets allowing the board of {7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{5-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} to fall in its entirety.

"I have a queen," said Chu showing {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}.

"Of course you do," replied Rose, who mucked his cards and stood up from his chair. The big blind mucked as well and Chu dragged in the pot and reduced the field by one.

Kamaras Doubles Through Childs

We caught up with action just as short-stacked Peter Kamaras was getting all in against Lee Childs.

Kamaras: {K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}
Childs: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

The {2-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop and {10-Spades} turn put Kamaras in dire straits, however, the {K-Spades} river sent a small jolt through Childs as Kamaras paired his king for the double up.

Kamaras is up to 180,000 while Lee slipped back down to 275,000.

I Rann So Far Away

We found James Rann all in before the flop holding {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} against an opponent's {A-Hearts}{9-Spades}.

Rann found gold when he flopped a set on the {8-Spades}{6-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} flop. The board completed with a {5-Spades} turn and the {3-Spades}. Rann is now sitting on a stack of roughly 275,000.

Ashe Crushing the Field

Since Randy Ashe was able to spike a three-outer to cripple Tom Schneider early and double up he has been on a tear at his table. His stack is currently sitting around 1,200,000 and he is the commanding chip leader of this event.
