Devonshire Done

Bryan Devonshire
Bryan Devonshire

Dexter Mcnally limped from early position, as did Kami Chisholm, and action folded to Bryan Devonshire on the button. He opted to raise to 33,000, Mcnally called, and Chisholm got out of the way, bringing about the {3-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Spades} flop.

Mcnally checked, Devonshire bet pot, Mcnally check-raised pot, and Devonshire called off.

"You got it?" Devonshire asked.

"I've got a three," Mcnally responded.

"Then you've got it," a resigned Devonshire said.

Showdown
Mcnally: {3-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}
Devonshire: {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{Q-Spades}{9-Clubs}

Despite running into a three, Devonshire did have a flush draw. Unfortunately for him, neither the {9-Hearts} turn nor {K-Diamonds} river would deliver salvation and he was eliminated from the tournament in 29th place.

JJProdigy Eliminated by Klein

Josh Field
Josh Field

In the last hand before the final 27 players were to redraw down to the final three tables, Loren Klein and Joshua "JJProdigy" Field each put in 48,000 preflop and saw a flop of {A-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{10-Clubs}.

Field was first to act and checked, allowing Klein to bet 100,000. Field called off his remaining 90,000 or so and the cards were turned up:

Showdown
Klein: {A-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}
Field: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

The {6-Clubs} turn and {10-Hearts} river gave Klein aces and tens with a king kicker, which was good enough to scoop the pot and eliminated Field in 27th place.

Duveyoung Bounced By Bowker

Lyric Duveyoung
Lyric Duveyoung

Kyle Bowker opened for 12,000 from early position and was called by Lyric Duveyoung and Scotty Nguyen in the small and big blinds respectively. When the flop fell {2-Hearts}{3-Spades}{9-Spades}, Duveyoung bet pot, Nguyen folded, Bowker raised, and Duveyoung called off his last 14,000.

Showdown
Duveyoung: {2-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Bowker: {2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{6-Spades}

The {K-Diamonds} turn and {Q-Diamonds} river were disaster for Duveyoung as it failed to make a low and allowed Bowker's two pair to take down the pot. With that, Duveyoung became out 26th-place finisher.

Runner-Runner Spades Send Oliveira to the Rail

Marco Oliveira
Marco Oliveira

TJ Scarber opened for 20,000 from middle position only to have Marco Oliveira move all in for 33,000 from the hijack. The rest of the field got out of the way and Scarber made the call.

Showdown
Scarber: {A-Spades}{J-Spades}{3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Oliveira: {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}

The {10-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop gave Oliveira a pair of sevens and the leads, but the running {K-Spades} turn and {6-Spades} river would give Scarber an ace-high flush and a low to scoop the pot. Just like that, Oliveira hit the rail in 25th place.

Chisholm Eliminated Right Before Break

Kami Chisholm
Kami Chisholm

Kami Chisholm has just been eliminated on the last hand before the players were sent on a break. We caught the action from the turn, with a {4-Spades}{10-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{7-Spades} board showing and with Jack Ward leading out for 35,000. Chisholm called and a {10-Diamonds} completed the board on the river. This time Ward checked, and Chisholm shoved for around 75,000. Ward instantly called, tabling his {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}.

Chisholm held {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades}, with very little to combat Ward's aces and with that, Chisholm was eliminated in 21st place.

Cohen and Saout Out; Final 18 Remain

Jesse Cohen out in 20th
Jesse Cohen out in 20th

Jesse Cohen and Antoine Saout have just been eliminated close to simultaneously on their respective tables, seeing us redrawing down to the final two tables. We caught the action from the flop over on Cohen's table, with Cohen getting all his chips in against Felicia Johnico on a {q-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{a-Hearts}. Here is how the hands looked.

Johnico: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Cohen: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}

The {7-Diamonds} turn changed very little, but the {10-Clubs} river was enough to give Johnico the win as Cohen was sent home in 20th place.

Just a few moments later and we noticed Antoine Saout was being sent to the rail holding {6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} against {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} on a {8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{9-Clubs} board. Saout was officially sent packing in 19th place.

With that, we are down to 18 and will have the redraw posted very soon.

Mickey Appleman Eliminated in 18th Place ($12,881)

Mickey Appleman - 18th Place
Mickey Appleman - 18th Place

Mickey Appleman was the shortest stack in the room heading into the final 18 and has now been eliminated. The last hand of Appleman's tournament saw him get his stack all in holding {a-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{2-Spades} on a {5-Clubs}{j-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop. His opponent held {a-Spades}{3-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and by the time the {7-Hearts} turn and the {2-Hearts} river were dealt, Appleman would be eliminated in 18th place.

For that effort Appleman goes home with $12,881.

Stephen Su Eliminated in 17th Place ($12,881)

Stephen Su
Stephen Su

After doubling Randy Ohel, Stephen Su was left with 43,000 and committed it two hands later from the button after Scotty Nguyen had opened for 27,000 from middle position. Kyle Bowker came along from the big blind, Nguyen called, and then both active players checked the {7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{10-Hearts} flop.

When the {8-Spades} hit the turn, Bowker check-folded when Nguyen bet pot. "Good lay down, baby," Nguyen said. "I have the nuts here." He then rolled over {A-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} while Su revealed {A-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{K-Hearts}.

The {3-Clubs} river was of no consequence and Nguyen dispatched Su in 17th place.

Kyle Bowker Eliminated in 16th Place ($12,881)

Kyle Bowker - 16th Place
Kyle Bowker - 16th Place

Kyle Bowker is the latest addition the rail, with his elimination coming at the hands of Scotty Nguyen. The last hand of Bowker's night began when Nguyen opened the pot from the hijack seat. Bowker had a short stack and moved all in from the big blind. Nguyen made a quick call and the two players turned their hands over.

Nguyen: {a-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{7-Clubs}
Bowker: {a-Spades}{2-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

The {5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} was no help to Bowker, with Nguyen managing to scoop up the pot with his two-pair fives and kings. Bowker goes home in 16th place, taking $12,881 with him.

Big Triple for Ramirez

Juan Ramirez
Juan Ramirez

Juan Rameriz raised the pot from middle position - which was enough to put him all in. Felicia Johnico then called out of the small blind and so too did Dexter Mcnally out of the big blind.

On the {10-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} flop, Johnico announced pot and Mcnally said pot immediately after. That amount was enough to put Mcnally all in, with Johnico calling, having Mcnally covered. At this point the three players turned their hands over.

Johnico: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}
Mcnally: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Ramirez: {a-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Clubs}

The {4-Hearts} on the turn and the {5-Diamonds} on the river would see Johnico and Mcnally split the side pot, while the short-stacked Ramirez managed to make a wheel to scoop up the main pot.
