Olisar Picks Up More

We didn't see a flop for three hands, with Ashkan Razavi picking up the first and the Derrick Huang opening two pots in a row and getting no action. The next hand after these three hands, Derrick would again open the pot and Duy Ho would say, "He's a machine!"

Machine or not, Ryan Olisar and Ashkan Razavi weren't afraid to rumble on this hand as the three players took to a {7-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} flop. Razavi was first to act and went with a check, so too did Huang and it was on Olisar. A bet of 160,000 was enough to scare off his opponents as Olisar stack increases yet again.

Razavi's Turn at the Top

Ashkan Razavi
Ashkan Razavi

Ashkan Razavi raised to 120,000 and action folded to Amanda Musumeci who tossed in a call from the big blind. The flop fell {3-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{9-Spades} and Musumeci check-called a bet of 110,000.

The turn brought the {2-Diamonds} and both players checked this time around, allowing the dealer to flip the {8-Hearts} river onto the felt. Musumeci pushed out 235,000 and Razavi called, tabling {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. Musumeci flicked her cards to the muck and Razavi was awarded the pot, causing his rail, who are all adorned with shirts reading "ASH CAN DO IT", to go crazy.

Ashkan Can't Put a Foot Wrong

Ashkan Razavi has continued his ascent up the chip leader board and now has a comfortable lead over the rest of the players. A recent hand saw Amanda Musumeci open it to 140,000 from the cut-off seat. Razavi called on the button and Derrick Huang called in the small blind.

Flop: {8-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades}

On the clop, Huang checked and Musumeci bet 205,000. A call from Razavi and a fold from Huang and the dealer would ready another card.

The {5-Clubs} turn would see both remaining players check and an {8-Diamonds} would complete the board on the river. This time when Musumeci checked, Razavi would slide out a bet of 440,000. Too much for Musumeci, she let her go and sent the pot to Razavi.

Musumeci Missteps

Amanda Musumeci raised to 130,000 from the cutoff and received a call from Ryan Olisar from the big blind. The flop came {J-Spades}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades} and Olisar checked to Musumeci who bet out 165,000.

Olisar took his time to slide out a raise, making it 375,000 to go. Musumeci mulled over the decision for about a minute and a half before pushing out a call. The turn paired the board, bringing the {10-Hearts} and Olisar heaved a stack of 555,000 into the middle. Musumeci mucked and Olisar took down the pot.

Olisar Loses; Ashkan with Monster Lead

Ashkan Razavi
Ashkan Razavi

Ryan Olisar has just faulted somewhat to see his stack plummet, while Ashkan Razavi has seen his stack grow to continue holding a massive chip leader.

The hand in question started when Ryan Olisar opened the cutoff to 160,000. Amanda Musumeci called in the small blind and it was on Ashkan Razavi in the big blind. A three-bet to 465,000 from Razavi would send the play to Olisar who quickly four-bet to 830,000.

Musumeci let her hand go and Razavi thought deeply before five-bet shoving all in. This prompted Olisar to immediately fold, at which point Razavi showed the rail his hand - suffice it to say the rail was very happy. The dealer thought there was a chance Musumeci could see his hand and therefore quickly flashed Razavi's hand to the table. It was very quick, but it looked very much like {a-Spades}{2-Hearts}.

Duy Ho Eliminated in 5th Place ($185,378)

Duy Ho - 5th Place
Duy Ho - 5th Place

We've seen Duy Ho raise to some rather large amounts before the flop during this event and this hand proved to be no different. Ho opened to 300,000 and it folded to Ashkan Razavi who three-bet to 740,000 from the small blind. Ho replied by shipping all in for 3,700,000 and Razavi snap called, tabling {K-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} which was far ahead of Ho's {3-Spades}{3-Hearts}.

The flop fell {5-Spades}{A-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and Razavi retained his lead with his pocket kings. Fourth street brought the {7-Spades} and Ho was in need of one of the two remaining treys in order to stay alive in this tournament. The {6-Diamonds} river did not oblige Ho and he was sent to the rail in fifth place.
