Failla Finds A Big Double Up

Action started with a player in early position raising to 2,600. Michael Souza was in middle position, and he made it 6,000 to go. Will "The Thrill" Failla called out of the big blind, and the original raiser made the call too. The flop came down {4-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}, and all three players checked. The turn cane the {k-Diamonds}, and the fireworks started.

The original raiser checked, as did Souza, and Failla fired out 7,000. The first player folded, but Michael Souza responded by moving all in. Failla instantly called, and Souza was drawing dead.

Souza: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Failla: {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

The meaningless river was the {2-Clubs}, and Failla collected the big double up to 93,000, while Souza was crippled to 6,000.

Rodawig On The Rail

Eric Rodawig raised all in under the gun to 8,900, and the player in the cutoff made the call. Michael Schneider was on the button, and he reraised all in over the top. The cutoff folded, the cards were tabled, and Rodawig was in a world of hurt.

Schneider: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}
Rodawig: {a-Hearts}{9-Spades}

Rodawig would need a miracle to survive, and the flop was about as dry as it could have been for him, coming {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{4-Hearts}. Rodawig could only catch running nines to win the pot, or running kings to chop it, but the board completed {10-Hearts} and {4-Clubs}. Rodawig was sent packing, while Schneider jumps up to 47,000.
