Moorman Flushed With Chips

We reported earlier that Moorman was sitting on the big stack with 58,000, but he took a small hit after that. However, in one of the few hands we've had since we came back from break, he has gotten most of those chips back.

We arrived at the table on the turn, with the board reading {4-Clubs}{k-Spades}{3-Spades}{4-Spades}. Moorman's opponent, Charles Flett, bet out 1,350, and Moorman made the call. The {2-Hearts} on the river seemed to be an innocent card, and Flett continued the aggression, firing 3,175. Moorman thought for just a few moments before tossing in the call, and Flett showed {10-Spades}{8-Spades}. However, Moorman had him one upped, as he tabled {j-Spades}{9-Spades} for a better flush.

After that hand, Moorman is back up to 56,000, while Flett is down to 17,700.

Phan Eliminated

We didn't catch the hand but we noticed Tuan Phan's seat was empty upon returning from the break. We caught a glimpse of him across the room playing in the Mega Satellite to the Main Event.

Must Be Nice To Be Brian Rast

It's been a decent couple summers for Brian Rast. Last year, he shipped two bracelets, including of course the $50,000 Players Championship where he gave Phil Hellmuth his third 2nd place finish of the summer.

While he hasn't had any bracelets so far this year, he does have two final tables. The first came in the $1,500 Re-entry, where he took 6th for just under $140,000. Then, he also took 6th in the One Drop for over $1.6 million.

Well he just took his seat at the start of the level, and in the last 20 minutes, he has worked his stack from the 30,000 starting to a near chip leading 58,000. We will be sure to keep our eye on this exciting young player.

Seven To a Flop

Seven players at Table 11 all saw flop for low price of 200. The flop came {8-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {4-Spades}, action checked to Jason Somerville in late position and he bet 800. Amanda Musumeci called and the button and the rest of the table folded.

The turn came {K-Diamonds}, Somerville bet 1,800 and Musumeci called. The river fell {8-Spades} and both players checked. Musumeci tabled {J-Hearts} {9-Clubs} and Somerville mucked.
