Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Amit Makhija
Amit Makhija

Preflop Amit Makhija made a raise to 9,000. One to his left Benjamin Dobson made a reraise to 21,000. Action folded back around to Makhija who moved all in. Dobson made a snap call and it was off to the races.

Makhija: {7-}{7-}
Dobson: {A-}{Q-}

The board was a swift executioner for Makhija as it rolled out {A-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{5-Hearts}, giving Dobson two pair and eliminating Makhija from the tournament in 48th place.

Whitney Using His One Play

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

As the short stack Zack Whitney has basically one play and that is to move all in. He has done so three times, that we have seen, in the last 30 minutes. We caught this hand between him and Damien Lhommeau. It was a blind versus blind scenario with Whitney shoving followed by the call of Lhommeau.

Whitney: {10-Hearts}{4-Spades}
Lhommeau: {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

The board came {7-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{10-Spades} giving Whitney his miracle river and a double up. While he is still short, he has a bit more wiggle room now.

The board came {3-Spades}{9-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and Oremba's queens hold eliminating one player and stacking chips from both.
