Grafton Eliminated in Double Knock Out Hand
It was all to quiet on table 440 so we expected Sam Grafton might be active in a hand. We rushed over to see that the ever so chatty Sam Grafton was indeed involved in a big hand. The player under-the-gun plus one had shoved his short stackof about 8,000 in. Two positions down Sam Grafton had done the same from the hijack. Paul Varano in the small blind seemed interested as well and as soon as he learned it was 35,500 for which Grafton had shoved all in, he announced to put all his chips in as well. The big blind folded and three players at the 7-handed table showed their hands:

While Grafton had the best hand with the nines, that all would change after the flop: . The short stack was drawing dead and Grafton was left drawing to two outs. The on the turn and on the river were no help for Grafton who was already shaking hands with Taylor Paur; "At least you didn't get my chips" the ever cheerful Grafton laughed. He wished the rest of the table good luck and made his way to the pay out desk.
