Plenty of Extras Being Given Away at This Year's WSOP

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

The buzz inside the walls of the Rio extends beyond just the tournaments on the 2013 World Series of Poker schedule. Online poker in Nevada is a very, very hot topic right now, and WSOP.com is making a lot of noise.

While the site has yet to launch, you can head to the Lambada Room of the Rio or look for one of the beautiful and friendly WSOP.com ladies walking the hallways to sign up for a free, personal WSOP.com online poker account. This is a great way to get a jump on the site's registration, and plenty of people have already taken this opportunity.

What's more is that the WSOP will be hosting daily raffles for everyone that has taken the time to register for WSOP.com at the Rio. What can you win? Plenty of fantastic prizes including 36 WSOP seats!

Players 21 years of age and older who sign up for a WSOP.com account will automatically be entered into the “36-Seat Giveaway” where a randomly-selected winner will win a seat into the next day’s first WSOP gold bracelet event. One of the events eligible in this promotion is the $111,111 One Drop High Roller No-Limit Hold’em tournament that is expected to feature a $10,000,000 prize pool and allow you to play poker with the biggest names in the game. In total, $182,333 in WSOP seats, including a seat to the WSOP Main Event, are being given away during this one-of-a-kind WSOP.com promotion.

In addition to the 36-Seat Giveaway, a “Hot Seat” promotion will allow any player who signs up for a WSOP.com online account and wears their WSOP.com patch on their chest at the table while playing an event to be randomly selected to receive 500 bonus dollars deposited directly into their WSOP.com online account once the site has received all regulatory approvals and launches.

With 62 WSOP gold bracelet events and three winners promised for the Main Event, this promotion includes $32,000 worth of value to those participating.

Nguyen Flops the Nuts

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

On an {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}{J-Clubs} flop all the chips went in between Tai Nguyen in the big blind and the player in the hijack. Nguyen was all in for 109,000 and his opponent had him covered. Nguyen turned over {K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} while his opponent had {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}. The hijack wouldn't improve with the {6-Diamonds} on the turn and {6-Spades} on the river. Tai Nguyen now plays well over 200,000.

Watch Out, Nitsche Has Chips

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Dominik Nitsche and his opponent found themselves all in preflop with Nitsche behind holding {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} and up against {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}.

The {3-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop kept his opponent in the lead but gave Nitsche a flush draw. The {4-Diamonds} turn didn't change much. As the river was being dealt, Nitsche's opponent was yelling "Don't do it. Don't do it." But he did it with the {2-Clubs}, eliminating the player and giving Nitsche has a stack.

Idema Loses To Everett

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

We caught up with action on the turn as the board read out {k-Spades}{4-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{2-Spades}. Jason Everett bet out 18,500 and Daniel Idema called. The river was the {7-Clubs} putting three clubs out. Everett bet out 29,000. This put Idema into a two minute tank. He eventually called but mucked when his opponent turned up {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} for trip kings. Idema lost the pot and went down to 125,000 while Everett is up to 200,000.

Graham Doubles Through Martin

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Luke Graham raised to 9,000 from middle position. Dan Martin followed that with a reraise to 22,000. Graham 4-bet shoved and Martin called.

Graham: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Martin: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

The {2-Spades}{a-Clubs}{8-Hearts} flop put Graham in the lead and the {6-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} turn and river didn't improve Martin's hand. Graham's aces win the pot leaving Martin with a below average stack.

Nitsche Grabs Some More

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Taylor Paur opened the cutoff to 6,000 and Dominik Nitsche in the big blind was the only caller. Both high profile players checked on {10-Spades}{2-Hearts}{4-Hearts} after which Nitsche bet out 7,500 on the {8-Hearts}-turn. Paur made the call and both players checked again on the {6-Diamonds} river. Nitsche announced that he had a four. That was good enough, Paur mucked as Nitsche showed {4-Spades}{5-Clubs}.

Paur still has considerably more chips than the last time we checked on him, so he must have doubled up without us noticing.

Ayoub Bluff Raises the River

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

We saw Adam Sanders check on a {6-Hearts}{8-Spades}{9-Hearts} | {4-Clubs} board from the big blind. His opponent, Steven Ayoub in the hijack, checked behind. Things got a little bit more lively on the {6-Diamonds} river though. Sanders bet out 13,000 and saw his opponent across from him raise to 38,000. Sanders asked how much it was exactly, thought for a little bit and called. Ayoub announced that he had king high and that certainly wasn't going to win him the pot: Sanders turned over {6-Spades}{5-Spades} for rivered trips.

McColgan Gone Like the Wind

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Kevin McColgan is gone after two hands gone wrong for him. The first happened when he over shipped a short stack with {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and his short stacked opponent sucked out with {q-Hearts}{5-Hearts} hitting trip queens.

The next hand he got in all in versus {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} against his own {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}. Unfortunately for McColgan he missed the board and had to leave the tournament area.

Paur Grabs Lots of Nitsche

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Taylor Paur made it 6,000 to go from the cutoff and Dominik Nitsche in the big blind looked him up. Nitsche continued to check-call 7,000 on {K-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Spades}, 12,500 on the {A-Diamonds} turn and 30,000 on the {5-Clubs} river. Paur showed {10-Clubs}{J-Clubs} for the rivered flush and took down the sizable pot.
