Ivan Schertzer Eliminated in 5th Place ($39,128)

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 3,000 ante
Ivan Schertzer
Ivan Schertzer

Action began on Ivan Schertzer who opened the action with a {7-} up. He was called by Bryan Campanello who had a {2-} up and Sebastian Pauli who was showing a {9-}.

Fourth street came another {7-} for Schertzer and {K-}'s for both Pauli and Campanello. With the best {K-}, Campanello bet out. Only Schertzer called.

On fifth street, Campanello bet his {8-} while Schertzer raised with his {K-}, all in. Campanello called and turned up his {6-}{9-} for an already made king low. Schertzer showed {A-}{3-} leaving him working on a king low. Schertzer drew an {A-} on sixth, leaving him drawing dead when Campanello drew a seven to complete his nine-seven low. That nine-seven was good enough to eliminate Schertzer from the tournament in 5th place.

Pauli Doubles Through Wheatley

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 3,000 ante

Jim Wheatley was the only one who didn't have paint for an up card, and he completed after Sebastian Pauli called the bring-in with a {j-}. Pauli called, and he called Wheatley's bets on every street through sixth.

Wheatley: {6-}{10-}{7-}{10-}
Pauli: {j-}{8-}{2-}{2-}

Pauli bet the last of his chips on seventh, and Wheatley called. Pauli showed {9-}{7-}{4-}, and his nine-eight was good, as Wheatley had a ten-low.

Ivan Schertzer on the Short Stack

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 3,000 ante

Two hands have put Ivan Schertzer on the short stack.

In the first Schertzer completed with a {6-} up. Bryan Campanello called with a {7-}.

Fourth street came a {J-} for Schertzer and a {K-} for Campanello. Schertzer bet and Campanello called. Fifth street was a {10-} for Schertzer and a {A-} for Campanello and both players checked. On sixth street Schertzer bet when he drew a {4-} and Campanello called with his new {9-}.

On seventh, Schertzer check called a bet from Campanello. Campanello turned up {6-}{3-} making a nine-seven low and it was good enough to take the pot as Schertzer mucked.

Schertzer lost a bit more chips to David Bach in the next hand after calling a raise, then folding on fifth street.

Bach Drags a Big One

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 3,000 ante

Sebastian Pauli had the lead and was betting every street against both Ivan Schertzer and David Bach.

Pauli: {5-}{7-}{9-}{j-}
Schertzer: {j-}{3-}{q-}{q-}
Bach: {4-}{9-}{4-}{k-Clubs}

Schertzer folded on sixth, and Bach made the call. Pauli bet a final time on seventh, and Bach called once more. Pauli shook his head as he announced a nine-eight, clearly not expecting to win. Indeed, Bach showed {7-}{2-}{a-} for a nine-seven.

Brent Keller Eliminated in 6th Place ($29,369)

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante
Brent Keller
Brent Keller

After being recently crippled, Brent Keller moved all in against Ivan Schertzer on fourth street. Schertzer called and it was off to show down.

Keller was holding {A-}{2-}{3-}{5-} for a wheel draw that he only needed one card to complete. Schertzer was holding {A-}{4-}{10-}{3-} for a ten-low draw.

On fifth Keller picked up a {Q-} while Shertzer drew a {4-} for a pair. Sixth street came a {K-} for Keller, not improving his hand while Shertzer drew a {Q-}, keeping Keller in the lead.

Seventh was dealt face down, Shertzer picked up a {6-} meaning that Keller would have to improve to beat his ten low. Unfortunately for him his last card was the {J-}, giving him his third paint card in a row and eliminating him from the tournament.

Keller Crippled

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Brent Keller completed with a {5-}, and Jim Wheatley, with a {9-}, was the only caller. Keller kept the lead, firing through fifth, before checking sixth.

Keller: {5-}{3-}{9-}{j-}
Wheatley: {9-}{2-}{9-}{2-}

Keller checked seventh, and Wheatley squeezed out his card before betting.

"Noooo," Keller yelled. "Not possible."

He tanked for a couple of minutes before calling. Wheatley showed him {a-}{7-}{4-} for a nine-seven, and he took the pot.

Rick Fuller Eliminated in 7th Place ($22,351)

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante
Rick Fuller eliminated in 7th place.
Rick Fuller eliminated in 7th place.

Fuller: {K-}{4-}/{5-}{7-}{2-}{9-}/{10-}
Keller: {6-}{3-}/{A-}{9-}{5-}{j-}/{3-}

After getting short from losing several small pots, Rick Fuller has been eliminated.

Fuller completed after the bring in. In the next seat over Brent Keller raised to two bets. Action folded around and Rick Fuller moved all in for his last 3,000 more. Keller called.

The boards ran out like so and Fuller was still live on face down seventh street. Keller turned up his {3-} first, pairing him. Fuller sweated his card, but as soon as he saw four across he just disappointedly shook his head and turned up the {10-}, eliminating him from the tournament.
