Dobrin Doubles Through Newhouse

Action began with Chris Karambinis, who raised from under the gun to 4,800 and Lily Newhouse reraised to 10,400 from middle position. She said to Chris, "Maybe this is the hand we get it in." What she didn't count on is Jeff "Doby" Dobrin 4-betting to 18,500. Karambinis released his hand after that and Newhouse had a decision to make.
Newhouse decided to move all in and now it was Dobrin who had some thinking to do. He eventually made the call and was at risk.

Anderson's Check Raise Gets It Done

We walked up to the table to see Calvin Anderson in the middle of a heads up pot that had about 30,000 in the middle. The board read 
, and Anderson checked to his opponent, who fired out 12,000. Anderson tanked for about a minute before cutting out a raise of 37,000, and sliding it into the middle. His opponent immediately sat back in his chair and began tanking, and after about a minute, Anderson slid the hood part of his sweater over his head. Another minute went by, and his opponent checked his hole cards and said "I fold."
After taking that one down, Anderson is now up to over 150,000.
