Rheem Gets It in Drawing Dead

Level 6

No Limit Hold'em

With 3,300 in the pot and a board reading {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{5-Clubs}, World Series of Poker bracelet winner Vincent van der Fluit checked and watched Chino Rheem, who recently won the World Poker Tour $25,000 Championship for $1,150,297, fire out a bet of 1,850. Van der Fluit then woke up with an all-in check-raise to 5,250 and Rheem, who was none to happy, made the call.

Van der Fluit tabled the {K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} for two pair and Rheem mucked. "I'm drawing dead," he declared even before the {8-Hearts} was put out on the river.

Crain Climbing

Level 7

Stud Eight or Better

We found Eric Crain on seventh street of a Stud Hi/Lo hand against an all-in opponent. Crain's cards were all turned over to reveal {10-}{10-}{3-}{4-}{5-}{6-}{7-}. His straight and low combination scooped the pot and sent his opponent to the rail. Crain ranks among the top stacks in the room.

Australian Legend Wins One; Rheem and Hastings Bounced

Level 7
Mel Judah
Mel Judah

No Limit Hold'em

In a recent hand, a player in middle position opened for 450 and Judah defended from the small blind. Judah proceeded to check-call a bet of 650 on the {8-Spades}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop and then both players checked the {6-Clubs} turn. When the {7-Diamonds} completed the board on the river, Judah grabbed a single orange T1,000 and flipped it in the pot. His opponent thought for about 15 seconds and then gently dropped his cards in front of the dealer.

Mel Judah is a poker legend. Since 1988 the Australian has amassed 38 World Series of Poker cashes for $1,321,500. Oh, and he has two gold bracelets to his name.

Meanwhile, both Chino Rheem and Brian Hastings have been eliminated from the tournament.

Richey vs. Flack

Level 7

Stud

Six-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner Layne Flack completed with the {9-Clubs} and then called when Brett Richey raised.

Flack: {X-}{X-} / {9-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts} / {X-}
Richey: {10-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} / {10-Spades}{q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{5-Spades}

Richey bet fourth, Flack called and then both players checked on fifth. Richey checked for a second time on sixth and Flack took the opportunity to bet. Richey called and then checked before he received seventh.

"Two pair," Flack said after checking behind.

Richey squeezed out his last card and said, "Straight." We assume he started with a pair of tens and got the straight on seventh, but we're not 100% sure as he tabled all three cards at one. Whatever the case, Richey won the pot.
