Big Pot For Sowers

Mike Sowers

Hand #71:

Mike Sowers opened for 60,000 and Justin Bonomo called. The flop was {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and Bonomo checked. Sowers bet 70,000 which got a call. The turn card was the {2-Diamonds}. Bonomo checked again and Sowers bet 150,000 and Bonomo called. The river was the {3-Clubs}. Third check from Bonomo and Sowers pushed out a tower of chips for a bet of 625,000. Now it was Bonomo’s turn to go into the tank, saying: “I don’t see how I can fold this.”

Sowers just stared down at the felt in front of him. Bonomo then said, “Of course a bad player would fold so I’m going to have to call.”

Bonomo made the call after a couple of minutes and Sowers instantly turned over the {5-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for the flopped flush. Bonomo mucked.
