Weber Doubles Through Nitsche

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Dominik Nitsche responded to a Matt Weber 4,000-chip open by making it 9,000 on the button.

Weber flatted and checked the {k-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} flop, allowing Nitsche to bet out 6,500. Then he shipped it in for 32,500 and Nitsche called instantly.

It was {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} for Nitsche against Weber's {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} and top pair held on a {6-Hearts}{2-Spades} run out.

Dato Over 100K

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Andrea Dato bet 8,700 from the button after the big blind checked to him on a {k-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop. The big blind called, and both players checked the {8-Clubs} and {4-Clubs}. The big blind tabled {a-}{q-}, but Dato had gotten lucky on the turn with {8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}. The former WPT champion has doubled his stack so far today.

Toye Tips the Scales

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Dave D'Alesandro had the worst of it in a big pot for what seems like the first time in the tournament.

We found him calling a 15,000 bet from Bobby Toye on the turn of a {k-Spades}{6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} board. After the {4-Diamonds} river, Toye shoved for some 45,000 and D'Alesandro made the call.

Toye showed {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} for the mortal nuts and D'Alesandro mucked.

Mackey Hits Three-Outer

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

James Mackey shoved into an unopened pot for 41,300 from the cutoff, and the player on the button made the call. The big blind tanked before folding.

Mackey: {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Button: {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

Mackey was in trouble, but he quickly flipped things on the {8-Spades}{q-Spades}{j-Diamonds} flop. The player on the button seemed disgusted as he shipped Mackey the double after two kings finished out the board.
