Field Size Update

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

After three full levels, the clock reads that 1,065 players have registered for this event. This puts this event on pace to be the largest non-hold'em field in WSOP history. That record is currently held by the $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha event from the 2011 WSOP. Late registration will stay open until the start of Level 7, or just after the dinner break.

The clock currently reads that 624 players remain active in the event, meaning that over 440 runners have already been eliminated from play.

Barry Shulman Eliminated

Level 4 : 75/150, 0 ante

Barry Shulman opened to 525 before the flop and found calls from the players on the button and in the big blind. The trio took a flop of {2-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and the big blind checked. Shulman announced "pot" for a bet of 1,650. The button let it go and the big blind came over the top, plopping all of his large denomination chips out for a raise. Shulman quickly called for his tournament life of less and the cards were turned on their backs.

Shulman: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{K-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Opponent: {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

The turn and river brought the {4-Clubs} and the {Q-Hearts}, giving Shulman's opponent a winning flush. He was eliminated and made a quick exit from the tournament area.

Small One for Deeb

Level 4 : 75/150, 0 ante

Two-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner Freddy Deeb is still alive and thriving in today's event.

Deeb won his first WSOP bracelet back in 1996 when he bested the field in a $5,000 2-7 Draw event. Eleven years later, Deeb claimed his second piece of jewelry in the 2007 $50,000 HORSE event. This massive victory gave Deeb over $2.2 million for first place.

Today, we found Deeb engaged in a hand with two other players. The flop read {3-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades} and the first player checked. The second player tossed out 250 and Deeb flatted from the button. The first player folded, leaving two players heads up to the turn.

Fourth street was the {7-Spades} and action checked over to the two-time bracelet winner. He cut out 1,300, his opponent folded and Deeb was pushed the pot. He will carry about 9,500 into the break.
