Giraudopourchot is Grinding

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Clement Giraudopourchot was first to act in early position and the Frenchman raised to 24,000. The action then passed around to Jason Wheeler on the button and he called as did Paul Finco in the big blind.

On the {K-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{J-Clubs} flop, Finco checked, Giraudopourchot bet 36,000 and only Finco called. Finco then checked on the {K-Clubs} turn only to see Giraudopourchot push out a tower of chips worth 50,000. This was too much for Finco to pay and he gave up on the hand.

Bianco Busts Two

Salvatore Bianco

Salvatore Bianco was one of three players all in preflop and he had the best of it with pocket aces. His two opponents tabled pocket nines and pocket queens respectively.

The board ran out {k-}{7-}{3-}{k-}{3-} and the end-of-day-two chip leader is now up over the million mark.

Bennett Back to Where She Started

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Michelle Bennett set her opponent all-in on an {8-Spades}{9-Hearts}{10-Spades} flop and was instantly called. Bennett turned the {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} onto their backs and needed some help from the board as he opponent showed {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}.

The {K-Spades} on the turn and {4-Spades} on the river were of no help to Bennett and she handed over 184,000 of her stack.

Bustouts Left and Right

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Day 3 bustouts are coming at quite a brisk pace, as we have already lost over half of the day's starting field in the first three levels.

Sean Drake

WSOP bracelet winner Sean Drake just eliminated Marvin Rettenmaier to take the chip lead for the time being and filled us in on some of the details.

Drake raised to 26,000 in middle position and Marvin Rettenmaier called from the big blind.

The flop fell {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and Rettenmaier checked to Drake who continued for 32,000. Rettenmaier check-raised to about 71,000, Drake reraised to 167,000 and Rettenmaier went into the tank for a while before he reraised all in for about 540,000. Drake called.

Drake: {J-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Rettenmaier: {A-Hearts}{5-Clubs}

The {6-Hearts} turn and {K-Diamonds} river were no help to Rettenmaier, locking up the sizable pot for Drake.
