Kamaras and Kolev Starting Slowly

Level 1 : 25/25, 0 ante

While Leo Margets has already more than doubled up her starting stack, Peter Kamaras and Yuliyan Kolev in the Blue section cannot say the same yet.

We saw them involved in a hand together where Kamaras raised to 75 from late position and Kolev called in the big blind only to check-fold the {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} flop to the continuation bet of the Hungarian.

Almost Incognito

There was a familiar face at Table 24 but we didn't immediately recognize him. Calvin Anderson lost his previous hair style and we asked what happened, as a possible lost side bet story may have been waiting for us.

It turned out that he tried to shave his trim for a commentary and went a bit too far, thus the easier solution was it to shave most of the hair off or it would have looked dodgy. "I wear my hair quite often like that anyways," joked the MTT pro.

First Bullet No Good for Kolev

Level 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

"He was playing almost every hand, so I squeezed from the button." That's pretty much the info we got from Peter Kamaras with regard to the elimination of Yuliyan Kolev.

The Bulgarian raised to 125 from early position and got two callers, then Kamaras three-bet to 525 from the button with pocket jacks and Kolev jammed pocket nines. There was no help from the board for Kolev, and he will have to reenter if he wants to make profit in this tournament.

Friendly Game

Level 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

We noticed a five-way pot to the {Q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{10-Spades} flop including Jan Heitmann and the action got checked through on the flop as well as the {Q-Spades} turn and {7-Hearts} river. The player in the small blind complained that he had folded {Q-}{2-} after the player in the big blind showed {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} as the winning hand.

Meanwhile the German Team PokerStars Pro already had quite a decent start.

Baldwin Gets Value

Level 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

We got to the table with the board showing {K-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and slightly less than 3,000 in the pot. Eric Baldwin made a bet of 2,300 and found one taker. The third player in the hand folded and Baldwin turned over {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} which would lead his one opponent to muck his hand.
