Erlichman Sends Alvarado Packing

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Ricardo Alvarado raised to 35,000 from middle position only to have Gal Erlichman make it 86,000 to go from late position. Action folded back around to Alvarado and he four-bet shipped for 431,000 total. Erlichman called and the hands were turned over.

Alvarado: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Erlichman: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}

The two were in a classic race scenario for Alvarado's tournament life. The flop came down {2-Spades}{J-Hearts}{10-Clubs}, keeping the two ladies out in front. The {7-Clubs} dropped down on fourth street and Alvarado was one card away from a double and continued life in the Main Event. Unfortunately for Alvarado, the hope of staying alive quickly disappeared as the {K-Diamonds} completed the board. Erlichman paired kings and send Alvarado to the payout desk.

Cichy took the lead on the {10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop before making two pair on the {K-Hearts} turn card. The river was the {9-Clubs}, and Cichy had successfully doubled up to 634,000 in chips. Yunis was left with 2.04 million.

King Dan Thriving at Secondary Feature Table

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Dan Smith
Dan Smith

Over at one of the secondary feature tables there was 150,000 or so in the pot and a board reading {4-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades} when Chad Eveslage checked from early position and Dan Smith bet 65,000 from the cutoff. Eveslage made the call and then checked once again on the {2-Spades} river. Smith bet 300,000, which had Eveslage's remaining stack of 191,000 covered.

Eveslage thought for nearly two minutes before releasing his hand, and Smith was pushed the pot. After the hand there was some discussion, and Eveslage revealed what he had folded.

"I had {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}," he said. "I was so excited on the flop."

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

After losing most of his chips in a big pot to Timur Margolin, Casey Stewart moved all in for his last 127,000 from middle position and Kyle Keranen called from the big blind.

Stewart's {A-Hearts}{9-Clubs} had Keranen's {A-Spades}{5-Diamonds} outkicked, and he managed to hold up through the {7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{K-Spades}{6-Spades} board.
