Hands #23-25: Souza Doubles Through McKeehen

Level 34 : 100,000/200,000, 30,000 ante
Michael Souza
Michael Souza

Hand #23: Justin Liberto raised to 400,000 from the button and Barny Boatman reraised to 1,000,000 from the big blind. Liberto called and they went heads up to the {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop. Boatman continued with a bet of 1,000,000 and Liberto quickly folded.

Hand #24: Manuel Ruivo raised to 450,000 and Liberto reraised to 1,240,000 from the cutoff. Ruivo folded and Liberto took the pot.

Hand #25: Michael Souza moved all in for 2,120,000 from early position and it folded to Joe McKeehen in the big blind. McKeehen called turning over {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} and Souza showed {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}.

The dealer fanned the {7-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop and Souza rail erupted in chants of "freeroll" as Souza flopped the nut flush draw. The turn {2-Spades} was no help to Souza but the {9-Clubs} hit the river. Souza improved to the nut flush to double through the chip leader McKeehen.
