Twardus Stays in His Seat

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Walter Twardus: {4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{8-Clubs} / {5-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{2-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}
Tim Frazin: {5-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} / {3-Spades}{9-Clubs}{9-Spades}{Q-Spades}
James Woods: {X-}{X-}{X-} / {2-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}

Tim Frazin bet with nines out on fifth street and Walter Twardus raised. James Woods called and so did Frazin. All players received a queen on sixth where Frazin bet and Twardus called for his last 700. Woods called as well. And they checked the river.

"Pair of nines," Frazin said as he failed to improve. Twardus showed three low cards for an eight low and Woods couldn't beat either of his opponents. Frazin and Twardus chopped his chips and Twardus survived in the tournament.

Bohlman Rakes in a Pot

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Scott Bohlman: {8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} / {4-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Timothy Batow: {k-Hearts}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts} / {6-Spades}{7-Clubs}{k-Spades}{4-Spades}

Timothy Batow had the betting lead on fifth street and check-called a bet from Scott Bohlman. On sixth, Bohlman led out and Batow raised it up. Bohlman called. Each player received their last down card.

Bohlman checked to Batow who tossed in a bet and Bohlman called. Batow announced kings up for two pair, but Bohlman had trips and an eight low to scoop the entire pot.

Matusow Sends Urpsis to the Rail

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Mike Matusow
Mike Matusow

Mike Matusow: {q-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts} / {5-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{2-Spades}{6-Hearts}
John Urpsis: {x-}{x-} / {6-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} / {x-}

After arriving at the table on fifth street, John Urpsis led out with a pair of sixes showing on his board. Mike Matusow raised and Urpsis pushed in a three-bet. Matusow four-bet and that was enough to put Urpsis all in. Matusow tabled a wheel for a straight and the nut low and it only got better from there.

Sixth street improved his hand to a six-high straight and the river gave him a flush. Urpsis, meanwhile, was unable to improve on his hand and was eliminated shortly after the break.

"These are the hands I play, OK. Six-high straight, a wheel, and a flush. That's it," Matusow explained to the table. And then in true Matusow fashion, the needle came shortly after. "What did he have anyway?"

"A pair of sixes and a seven low draw," responded one player at the table.

"He only had a pair of sixes and he wanted to put nineteen bets in?" Matusow exaggerated.

Rosario and Krescanko Chop Richburg's Shrapnel

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

James Richburg: {6-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} / {5-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} / {X-}
Shirley Rosario: {A-Hearts}{2-Hearts} / {8-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{9-Spades} / {3-Spades}
Mike Krescanko: {A-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} / {2-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} / {9-Clubs}

Shirley Rosario had a chance to score a double knockout as James Richburg and Mike Krescanko were both all in on third street. All players started with three low cards with Rosario having three hearts. She spiked a fourth one on fourth street, and while she couldn't get a fifth, a pair of nines sealed the high half of the pot for her.

Krescanko made a six low while Richburg sweated an open-ended straight draw on the river. However, four of his eight outs were blocked by the other two players and he didn't receive what he needed.

Krescanko is still on a nub while Rosario is guarding an impressive 130,000-chip stack.

Woods Wheels a Triple Up

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
James Woods
James Woods

James Woods: {6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} / {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
PJ Cha: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{8-Spades} / {a-Spades}{2-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}
Brian Goddard: {x-}{x-} / {6-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{2-Diamonds} / {x-}

James Woods had the lead on fifth street but the action checked to PJ Cha who took a shot at the pot with a bet. Woods check-raised all in for 8,700 and was called by Brian Goddard and Cha.

On sixth, Goddard check-called another bet from Cha to form a side pot and then both players checked on seventh. Cha tabled a pair of kings and that was good enough to earn him the side pot. Woods showed a six-high straight and the nut low to scoop the main pot and triple up his stack.

Rossi Scoops with Two Pair

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Esther Rossi: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{x-} / {8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{2-Spades}{4-Clubs}
Gary Deluca: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{x-} / {5-Clubs}{3-Spades}{5-Spades}{6-Diamonds}

After arriving at the table on seventh street, quite a large pot had formed between Esther Rossi and Gary Deluca. Each player had a bet sitting in front of them for each of the first four betting streets. It appeared as though Deluca had been betting the entire way and Rossi continued to call.

On seventh, Deluca opted to check and Rossi thought for a moment before checking behind. Deluca tabled his hand for a pair of fives and no low hand. Rossi turned over two pair and scooped the entire pot.

"I missed and she didn't believe me," Deluca said.

"That's usually not a good combination," Mike Matusow chirped back.
