Thompson Coolers Maser to Score the Knockout

Level 21 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Thomas Maser raised to 30,000 from under the gun and Charles Thompson reraised to 80,000 next to act. It folded back to Maser who moved all in for 320,000 and Thompson snap-called turning over his {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}.

"I haven't played poker with you for 50 years and this is what you do to me," joked Maser turning over his {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}. It was a cooler for Maser who ran his pocket kings into the aces of Thompson and the {q-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts} runout sealed the deal for Thompson.

Maser shook hands with Thompson as he made his way to the payout line and Thompson scooped the pot.

Level 22 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Sam Grizzle-Earlier Picture

Sam Grizzle had a rough start to the day and found himself moving all in for his remaining 55,000. Frederick Parsons then moved all in for a little over 100,000 and James Brown called. All three players flipped over their hands.

James Brown: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Frederick Parsons: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Sam Grizzle: {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}

The flop came down {q-Hearts}{k-Spades}{j-Clubs} and Grizzle was drawing to a seven. But as the {4-Clubs} on the turn and {10-Clubs} on the river landed, Grizzle failed to improve and he was eliminated. Brown and Parson then split the main and side pots.

Iwaniak Eliminates Halfon

Level 22 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Alfred Shanfeld raised to 35,000 from under the gun and Mark Halfon moved all in for 167,000 from middle position. With the action on Linda Iwaniak she reshoved all in for about 500,000. The rest of the table quickly folded and the hands were shown.

Linda Iwaniak: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Mark Halfon: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

The dealer fanned the {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop and Halfon picked up the nut flush draw to go along with his overcard. The turn was the {5-Spades} and Iwaniak would need to fade an ace or a diamond on the river.

The {9-Spades} river was no help to Halfon and Iwaniak earned the pot and the knockout.

Brown Cracks Klimek's Aces to Double

Level 22 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
James Brown

Bruce Hugon raised to 30,000 from the cutoff and James Brown moved all in for 96,000 from the button. Edward Klimek called from the small blind and Hugon folded.

James Brown: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Edward Klimek: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}

It looked like the end of the road for Brown as Klimek tabled pocket aces. The dealer fanned the {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop and Klimek's aces maintained the lead. The turn was the {9-Hearts}, however, and Brown spiked his two-outer on the turn to take the lead.

Klimek was now the one in need of help on the river, but the {2-Diamonds} completed the board and Brown earned the double-up.
