Massey Finally Gets Song

Level 21 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Aaron Massey opened on the button with a raise to 23,000 and Ian Steinman called from the small blind. Stephen Song called as well from the big blind so the three took a flop.

The flop was {J-Spades}{3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and action checked to Massey who put out a bet of 30,000. Steinman folded quickly while Song opted to check-raise, making it 75,000. Massey called.

The turn was the {7-Hearts} and Song continued his aggression with a bet of 115,000. Massey called again.

On the {4-Diamonds} river, both players checked down. Song showed down queen-high but Massey had him beat with {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} for two pair and he would take down the pot.

"You finally got me," Song said after the hand.

"I finally got you," Massey said. "And I got you at an important time, too."

Tran Puts Wheeler to the Test

Level 21 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Jason Wheeler opened to 23,000 from under the gun and he was called by Jay Farber on the button and JC Tran in the big blind.

The flop was {Q-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Spades} and action checked to Wheeler who put out a bet of 34,000. Farber folded while Tran called.

Both players checked on the {7-Diamonds} turn and the {10-Spades} came on the river. There, Tran put out a bet of 200,000 which was enough to put Wheeler all in. Wheeler thought for a bit then eventually decided to fold. That allowed Tran to take down the pot and chip up to over 600,000 while Wheeler is now one of the shortest stacks in the tournament with just about 13 big blinds.
