Chris Ferguson Leads the Final 6 in Event #43: $2,500 No-Limit Hold'em as he Looks for 7th WSOP Bracelet

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Chris Ferguson

Event #43: $2,500 No-Limit Hold'em is down to the final six players, and to say that it's a stacked WSOP final table could be an understatement. Leading the way is 2017 WSOP Player of the Year and six-time WSOP bracelet winner Chris "Jesus" Ferguson with a staggering 5,680,000.

Ferguson picked his spots throughout the day and steadily climbed the chip counts until a massive pot at the final table vaulted him out in front. A short-stacked Seth Davies was all in for 465,000 and Ismael Bojang isolated all in over the top for over 2,000,000.

Ferguson called for just over 1,500,000, turning over {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} against the {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} of Bojang and the {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} of Davies. The board ran out clean for Ferguson who moved into the lead and never looked back.

Seat #2 at the final table will be filled be New Jersey native Michael Marder who has amassed nearly $750,000 in live career poker earnings.

Marder, who is primarily an east coast tournament grinder, has already notched his first WSOP tournament cash here in Event #43. He will return fourth in chips as he looks to turn his first WSOP cash into his first WSOP bracelet and $507,274.

Seat #3 is filled by Israel's Timur Margolin who ranks eighth on Israel's all-time money list and is no stranger to this very event. Margolin earned his largest career tournament cash in the2015 WSOP Event #47 $2,500 No-Limit Hold'em. He narrowly missed winning his first WSOP bracelet, finishing second to Matthew O'Donnell but taking home $341,338 for his runner-up finish.

Margolin caught fire at the final table and will come back to Day 4 second in chips with 3,520,000.

Dylan Linde will return in Seat #4 and he is just days removed from a fourth-place finish in the WSOP $1,500 No Limit Hold'em - Shootout (Event #39) for more than $76,000. Linde jumped right off the stage in the Brasilia room just two days ago to enter this event and he will return to that same stage tomorrow in search of his first WSOP bracelet.

WSOP bracelet winner Ryan Laplante will return to Day 4 in Seat 5, and Day 3 was more of a game of patience for Laplante. For much of the day, Laplante grinded a short stack, but he stayed focused and kept his cool putting 700,000 in the bag.

Germany's Ismael Bojang rounds out the final table in Seat 6 and he is another accomplished tournament pro. Bojang has earned more than $2,800,000 throughout his illustrious poker career and ranks 25th on Germany's all-time money list. Bojang will come back to Day 4 third in chips with 2,610,000.

The final six players will return to the Brasilia Twitch stage at 12 p.m. on Sunday, June 24, and play down to a winner with one of them taking home the $507,274 first prize along with the most coveted jewelry in the game.

Jeff Hakim
Jeff Hakim

Hand #32: Jeff Hakim had been nursing a short stack for some time and was in the big blind when Timur Margolin set him all in from the small blind. Hakim made the call and they tabled their cards.

Jeff Hakim: {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}
Timur Margolin: {q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}

It was a flip as they headed to the flop. It came down {7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} and Margolin pushed into the lead. Neither the {8-Hearts} turn or the {k-Hearts} river could turn things around for Hakim and he leaves in sixth place.

Hand #16: Timur Margolin raised to 140,000 from under the gun and Andre Haneberg moved all in from the cutoff for 875,000. Ismael Bojang re-shoved all in from the button for 1,485,000 and Margolin folded.

Ismael Bojang: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Andre Haneberg: {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

It was a cooler for Haneberg as Bojang woke up with pocket kings behind him on the button. The board ran out {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and Bojang's kings held up to earn him the elimination.

This was Haneberg's first WSOP tournament and he parlayed his $2,500 entry fee into an eighth-place finish for $49,498.

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Chris Ferguson
Chris Ferguson

Hand #11: Michael Marder raised to 110,000 on the cutoff and Timur Margolin three-bet to 350,000, which Marder folded to.

Hand #12: Andre Haneberg opened from under the gun to 125,000. He got one call from Chris Ferguson and they ended up playing a hand that was bet across all three streets. Most notably, Haneberg check-called Ferguson's 300,000 turn and 500,000 river bets but mucked when he saw Ferguson's {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}.

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Seth Davies
Seth Davies

It folded round to Seth Davies in middle position and with 465,000 left, he moved all in. When the action reached Ismael Bojang, he isolated all in over the top for around 2,700,000. As as if that wasn't enough action, Chris Ferguson looked at his holding in the small blind, and after a brief pause, he made the call too.

Chris Ferguson: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Ismael Bojang: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Seth Davies {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}

The runout came {2-Spades}{q-Spades}{4-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and the pocket kings held for Ferguson. The hand sends him soaring into the lead, with nine players remaining. We have now reached the official final table.

Linde Moves Ahead

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Dylan Linde
Dylan Linde

Andre Haneberg opened early to 105,000 and only Dylan Linde in the big blind called.

The flop was {j-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} and Linde check-called Haneberg's 90,000 continuation.

The turn was a {3-Hearts} and once again Linde check-called a bet of 130,000. The river came {4-Diamonds} and Linde checked once more, as did Haneberg.

Linde showed {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades} and it was good to take the pot. He had been in joint first position prior to the hand but this pot pushes him further into the lead.

Frederik Jensen Eliminated in 11th Place ($23,296)

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Frederick Jensen
Frederick Jensen

There has been some tussling between Frederik Jensen and Timur Margolin, having been sat next to each other since they made the final two tables.

Jensen had around 450,000 at the start of the hand and was in the big blind when Margolin open-shoved from the small blind. It was a speedy call from Jensen and they turned their cards over.

Frederik Jensen: {a-Clubs}{4-Spades}
Timur Margolin {a-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}

The flop hit a two for Margolin right out of the blocks, and Margolin moved into the lead. Neither the {10-Spades} turn or the {k-Clubs} river could bring it back for Jensen and he narrowly misses out on making the feature table.

Zizheng Huang
Zizheng Huang

Zizheng Huang moved all in for 425,000 from the button and Ismael Bojang re-shoved all in for about 1,700,000 from the small blind. Michael Marder folded his big blind and the hands were shown.

Ismael Bojang: {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Zizheng Huang: {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

The dealer fanned the {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop and there was a king in the window for Huang to take the lead. The {a-Spades} hit the turn and Bojang spiked his ace to move back into the lead.

The {5-Spades} completed the board and Huang was eliminated in 12th place, taking home $29,563.
