Anton Morgenstern
Anton Morgenstern

Rep Porter raised to 150,000 in the small blind and short stack Anton Morgenstern, who started the hand with fewer than 10 big blinds, called from the big blind. On the {K-Hearts}{10-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop, Porter bet 300,000 and Morgenstern moved all in, Porter called.

Anton Morgenstern: {K-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs}
Rep Porter: {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{4-Spades}

The {9-Clubs} on the turn gave Morgenstern two pair, but the {J-Spades} on the river improved Porter to a straight, eliminating Morgenstern in 13th place for $42,032.

Aaron Duczak Eliminated in 14th Place ($42,032)

Aaron Duczak

Aaron Duczak got his stack in on a {9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop against Richard Lyndaker, who had him covered.

Aaron Duczak: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Spades}
Richard Lyndaker: {K-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}

Duczak found himself trailing Lyndaker's flopped set and needed to improve to survive. The {10-Hearts} turn and {10-Clubs} river missed Duczak and further improved Lyndaker to a boat, so Lyndaker took the pot to end Duczak's run in this event.

"I should have potted pre," said Duczak as he exited the tournament area.

Shack-Harris Makes Klein Fold in Massive Pot

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante
Brandon Shack-Harris
Brandon Shack-Harris

Brandon Shack-Harris opened to 115,000 from middle position, Loren Klein three-bet the pot from the cutoff to 420,000, and Shack-Harris went into the tank for about a minute before he four-bet to 1.35 million. Klein called.

The flop came {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Shack-Harris shoved for about 700,000, sending Klein into the tank.

"I've got a big draw," Klein joked.

"I expect nothing less," replied Shack-Harris as he rested his head over his crossed arms atop the table.

"You don't have to hide. There's no read."

"Oh, I'm just taking a nap... You've got that three-to-king straight draw?"

"Show me diamonds and spades," Klein said as he ultimately folded several minutes later. Shack-Harris tabled {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} and said he didn't have diamonds. Klein let out an expletive as Shack-Harris dragged the biggest pot of the tournament thus far.

Dario Sammartino

Dario Sammartino shoved from the big blind for his last 180,000 on a flop of {A-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and Brandon Shack-Harris called to put him at risk.

Dario Sammartino: {A-}{7-}{4-}{2-}
Brandon Shack-Harris: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

Sammartino was ahead with two pair and Shack-Harris needed to improve in order to stack him. Sammartino retained his lead on the {Q-Spades} turn, but the {K-Spades} river gave Shack-Harris aces and kings to take the pot and end Sammartino's run in this tournament.

Hand #1

Dario Sammartino raised to 90,000 and Anson Tsang on the button three-bet the pot to 310,000. Sammartino gave it some thought and called. On the {9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop, Sammartino pushed all in and Tsang called it off for 580,000.

Anson Tsang: {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts}

Hand #2

Sammartino moved all in blind for the last 20,000 before he even received the first card and once the deal was completed, Tsang raised the pot to 160,000. Martin Kozlov called in the big blind and the flop came {Q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades}. Kozlov shoved for 330,000 and Tsang called to create a three-way showdown.

Dario Sammartino: {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Martin Kozlov: {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}
Anson Tsang: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}{10-Spades}{3-Spades}

The {8-Hearts} turn and {9-Clubs} river completed the board and Sammartino quadrupled up with queens and eights, while Kozlov won the big side pot with his tens and nines to double through Kozlov.

The cards of Henri Koivisto were all but rushed away while Rep Porter dragged in the pot with his {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} still tabled.

According to Alexey Makarov, Koivisto had defended his big blind and got it in after a {7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop with {8-}{6-}{4-}{X-} for a wrap, which missed after two blanks on turn and river.

The cards were already on their backs and the dealer was pushing the pot to Richard Gryko when we got to the table. The players informed us that all the chips had gone in on the {8-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Spades} flop with Gryko holding {A-Spades}{K-Spades}{X-}{X-} and Mack Lee holding {J-Spades}{10-Spades}{X-}{X-}. The {Q-Diamonds} turn missed both players entirely, the river was also a blank, and Gryko took the pot to end Lee's run in this event.
