Level 1 : 25/50, 0 ante
Dara O'Kearney
Dara O'Kearney

The flop read {k-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts} and there was around 1,600 in the middle already. Both the player in the small blind and Dara O'Kearney in the under-the-gun position checked.

The turn brought them the {j-Hearts}, O'Kearney's opponent check-called the 500 bet of O'Kearney.

The river completed the board with the {k-Clubs} and they both checked again. The small blind showed {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} for the two pair on the board with the ace-kicker. But O'Kearney tabled {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} for the higher two pair to take down the pot.

The board read {J-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and there were about 325 in the middle when we got to the table. The big blind checked to his lone opponent, Men Nguyen, who was in the hijack. Nguyen bet 100 and the big blind called.

The {6-Spades} hit the river and the big blind checked. Nguyen bet 500, his opponent called, and Nguyen tabled {3-Hearts}{3-Spades} for a flopped set that improved to a boat on the river. The big blind mucked and Nguyen took the chips.

Whittington Loses to Stemmler

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

Blake Whittington raised to 250 from mid-position and was called by Neil Stemmler in the hijack and Christopher Marion in the big blind.

The flop came {10-Spades}{2-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}, Marion checked, Whittington bet 200 and only Stemmler called.

The turn brought them the {q-Spades}, Whittington now check-called the 600 bet of Stemmler.

The {3-Spades} completed the board on the river on which both players checked. Whittington showed {k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for the flopped pair of tens. Semmler had him beat though with {a-Clubs}{x-} for at least the flopped top pair.

Freedman Slips

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

There were about 1,500 chips in the pot and the {K-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop was out when we got to the table. Wendy Freedman checked from the small blind, the player under the gun checked, the cutoff bet 600, Freedman called, and the under-the-gun player check-raised to 2,150. The cutoff went into the tank and ultimately folded. Freedman shoved, putting her opponent to a decision for the remainder of his stack. He called to put himself at risk for about 7,200 total and the two players tabled their hands.

Wendy Freedman: {Q-Spades}{J-Spades}
Opponent: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}

Freedman was trailing her opponent's top pair, top kicker and needed to improve in order to win the pot. The {7-Hearts} turn and {10-Diamonds} river missed both players entirely and Freedman's opponent doubled up.

Ageloff Can't Beat Kings

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

Brandon Ageloff raised to 250 from the hijack and Christopher Marion three-bet to 650 from the small blind. Action folded back to Ageloff who called.

The flop came {5-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{6-Spades}, Marion continued with a bet of 500 and Ageloff called.

The turn brought them the {a-Diamonds}, Marion's continuation-bet of 500 was raised to 2,100 by Ageloff. Marion considered his options for a while and then called.

The river completed the board with the {7-Clubs} on which they both checked. Marion tabled {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} for the pair of kings and that was enough to make Ageloff muck his hand.
