Reard Lucky in Three-Bet Pot Against Altman

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Alexandre Reard three-bet to 81,000 from the hijack when Brian Altman opened to 27,000 on his right. Altman peeled and they saw a {9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop. The American check-called 65,000 and the {3-Clubs} and {j-Hearts} checked through.

Altman showed {a-Spades}{q-Clubs} but Reard had gotten lucky with {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}.

Big Slick is Good for Massey

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Ralph Massey
Ralph Massey

A player raised to 28,000 from early position and a player in middle position reraised to 90,000. Ralph Massey moved all in for 370,000 and the original raiser folded.

The middle position player went deep into the tank and eventually called. Massey showed {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} and was dominating the {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs} of his opponent. The board ran out clean for Massey and he doubled up.

Bercovici Caught Bluffing

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Richard Gryko bet 40,000 on a {7-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} flop against Hari Bercovici, who snap-called from the cutoff. On the {2-Spades} turn, they both checked, bringing a {4-Spades} river. Gryko checked and Bercovici bet 62,000. Gryko thought awhile and called.

Both players had missed draws, but Gryko's {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} trumped {9-Spades}{6-Spades}.

Lee Takes from Tach

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

From under the gun, Stanley Lee opened with a raise before Farukh Tach three-bet the button to 90,000.

Once the blinds passed, Lee responded with a four-bet to 269,000. Tach deliberated for several minutes before making the call as the flop landed {A-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{K-Spades}.

Lee continued for 125,000, and Tach mucked.

Gilliam Triples In Nerve-Wracking Fashion

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Mustapha Kanit opened with a raise to 25,000 before Jonathan Gilliam moved all in for 131,000 total. The player on the button called as did the player in the small blind while Kanit folded. Gilliam was all in for the nearly 400,000-chip main pot while the other two players went heads-up to a flop for a side pot.

The flop was {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and both players checked to see the {10-Diamonds} on the turn. There, the player first to act put out a bet of 25,000 which the other player called.

The river was the {8-Hearts} and both players checked again so it was on to a showdown. The first player in the small blind showed his {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}, which was no good against the button's {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}. Both hands were inferior to Gilliam's {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}, though, and that would earn him the full triple-up to nearly 400,000.

"That was fucking nerve-wracking," Gilliam said after the hand.

Touil Eliminates Gumz

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Samuel Touil opened from middle position and Fabian Gumz jammed all in for around 250,000 in the cutoff. The action was back on Touil who asked for a count and then made the call.

Samuel Touil: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Fabian Gumz: {4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}

The flop came {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Touil spiked an ace to take the lead. The {10-Spades} on the turn and the {9-Hearts} on the river were of no help and Gumz was sent to the rail.
