Merda Scoops Large Pot, Busts Opponent

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante

In a four-way pot with the board reading {9-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{j-Spades}, Meir Avigal, who was one of the big stacks in the early stages of the tournament, put out a bet of 2,700 from the big blind. He got a call from the second player to act in middle position. Igor Merda then raised to 8,200, which folded out the fourth player in the hand in the small blind.

Avigal called Merda's raise and the player in middle position re-popped it for the rest of his stack, which was for 12,800. Getting a good price, Merda and Avigal both called the all in.

The river came the {5-Diamonds}. Avigal checked it over to Merda who then moved all in himself for his remaining 27,000. Avigal shook his head and looked aggravated before reluctantly giving it up.

Merda turned over the {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for the winning flush as the all in player showed {q-}{j-} and went away busted and Merda added a large amount to his stack.

Testoni Takes it On the Flop

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante

Juan Testoni raised to 1,000 from early position, William Pilossoph then three-bet to 2,400, and was called by both Greg Masterson from his small blind and Testoni. After Testoni checked the {7-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{j-Hearts} flop, Pilossoph continued for 2,800, which got a check-call from Masterson, but was met with a check-raise to 8,000 from Testoni. Pilossoph gave his cards another look before he released them and Masterson also found a fold.

States Adds to His Stack Just Before Break

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante

After Daniel States limped from under-the-gun, Ken Yamamoto raised it to 1,500 from the next seat over, and action folded to Yake Wu who called from his big blind. States then limp-raised to 4,500, and both Yamamoto and Wu came along. Wu check-called States' 5,000 bet on the {2-Spades}{8-Spades}{6-Spades} flop after Yamamoto folded, sending the players headsup to the {7-Hearts} turn. Wu then check-folded after States' second barrel, that time for 8,000.
