Hands #108-111: Marshall Shows the Bluff

Level 34 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Cary Marshall
Cary Marshall

Hand #108: Cary Marshall received a walk in the big blind.

Hand #109: Timothy Joseph received a walk in the big blind.

Hand #110: Action folded to Timothy Joseph in the small blind who raised to 850,000 and took down the pot after Michael Blake folded.

Hand #111: Cary Marshall raised from the cutoff to 800,000. Timothy Joseph called on the button and the two went heads up to a flop of {a-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{4-Spades}. Marshall checked. Joseph made a bet of 1.125M and Marshall called. The turn was {7-Hearts} and Marshall checked again. Joseph fired another barrel, this time for 2.075M. Marshall asked to see his stack and Joseph cut out around 4.75M behind.

"I'm all in," Marshall exclaimed. Marshall later told Joseph that he knew he had an ace. Joseph said he knew that Marshall knew that much as he continued to deliberate over his decision. Marshall continued, telling him that if he wants to lay it down and show it, Marshall will show him that he made a good fold. Alternatively, he offered that Joseph could call and be guaranteed to see Marshall's hand.

"I fold," announced Joseph and tabled {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}, folding top pair with a queen kicker.

Marshall tabled {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} for the pair of twos with a wheel draw and raked in the pot without a showdown.
