Galland Eliminated by Krentzman

Level 22 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
Benoit Galland
Benoit Galland

The cards of Evan Krentzman and Benoit Galland wee on their backs when they saw a flop of {j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Hearts} and it was Galland at risk.

Benoit Galland: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}{j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Evan Krentzman: {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

Galland was ahead with top set, however, Krentzman had a straight draw. The {8-Diamonds} turn filled up Krentzman and the {k-Spades} river was a blank to send Galland to the rail in 25th place. All remaining 24 players will now redraw to the last three tables.

Level 22 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
Joni Jouhkimainen
Joni Jouhkimainen

Joni Jouhkimainen was getting to his feet shortly after the three table redraw.

He had held {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{q-Spades}{q-Diamonds} against chip leader James Chen's {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}

The board was {j-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{9-Clubs} with Chen making two sets to sent Jouhkimainen to the rail.

"I didn't see your limp pre-flop," Chen explained to Jouhkimainen. "I mean, it worked out for you. I mean...it didn't..."

Karakitukov Triples Up

Level 22 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
Veselin Karakitukov
Veselin Karakitukov

Robert Mizrachi opened from under the gun and got calls from Lautaro Guerra, Veselin Karakitukov and Esther Taylor.

The flop {k-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{7-Spades} checked to Karakitukov who announced pot and was all in for 310,000. Taylor and Guerra both called.

The pair checked down the {j-Spades}{6-Clubs} runout and Taylor showed {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{6-Spades} for a straight but Karakitukov held {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{10-Spades}{5-Spades} for a flush and tripled up.

Lau Bests Epstein in Big Pot

Level 22 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
Ka Kwan Lau
Ka Kwan Lau

Joining the action on a four-way turn of {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades}, Stephen Chidwick checked out of the small blind and Alex Epstein in the big blind made it 135,000 to go. Ka Kwan Lau called on the button and Chidwick folded.

After the {9-Spades} river, Epstein bet 225,000 and Lau announced a raise to 1 million.

"If you have aces, you got it," Epstein said and called. Lau didn't have aces, but he hit a full house on the river with his {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} to take a big chunk out of Epstein's stack.

"That's quite a river," Epstein added while paying off Lau.

Geilich Doubles Through Sinishtaj

Level 22 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Ludovic Geilich saw his stack reduced to just a few big blinds when he bet-folded the {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} river against Firas Sadou.

Geilich was then all in for the last 210,000 with {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} against Gjergj Sinishtaj, who turned over {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}. The board came {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{j-Hearts} and Geilich doubled with a sweat.

One for Taylor; Chidwick Jams Into Lau

Level 23 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante

Ka Kwan Lau had lost some of his profit in the final hand of the previous level, sending a portion of his stack back to Alex Epstein.

Soon after the restart, Lau raised to 130,000 in late position and Stephen Chidwick three-bet to 465,000 in the hijack. Lau called after some consideration and check-folded the {q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop to the shove of Chidwick for 700,000.

One table over, Esther Taylor bet the {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop for 175,000 and Robert Mizrachi called. They checked the {2-Hearts} turn and a bet of 100,000 by Taylor on the {10-Hearts} river forced a fold from Mizrachi.

"Come on, do it," Taylor grinned and both showed their cards. Taylor revealed the {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for a full house and Mizrachi mucked a wrap that included the {10-Diamonds}.

Winter Doubles Through Krentzman

Level 23 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante

Sean Winter was all in for 495,000 against Evan Krentzman pre-flop.

Sean Winter: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Evan Krentzman: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{2-Hearts}

The {j-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Spades} was no help to Krentzman in his hunt to eliminate Winter. The turn {9-Hearts}, however, gave him a straight draw. The river was the {j-Hearts} and Winter doubled up.
